Report on the visit of my daughter & her boyfriend 🇺🇸 (3) At first, we were nervous in the quiet restaurant, but gradually we started to relax 🤗. We saw the owner was dodging the bits of the Tsumami and said, "I'll have some of that too! I'll have some of that too! Sorry for the loss of food 😅. Next up was the tuna 🥹 which the owner is proud to say is one of the top three tuna of all time. I had the marinated red and fatty tuna, which made me want to meditate and look up to the heavens when I put it in my mouth 😇. He said this place is by far the best in all of Washington DC 😍. Nobby gestured and said "you...this restaurant...like...fish" in his native tongue, and the owner laughed when his daughter said "That's Lou Oshiba 🤣" 😁He was all smiles when he heard it 😊. I'll take that as a yes! He served me salted fish and dancing whitebait! He was surprised by the dancing fish 🫢 but it was delicious too 😙. And now, the sake we drank during that time🤗! The first one was Sengoku Risshun Asashibori! It was past its prime and there were only a few left, but it was nice to have something that brought us good luck 😋! Next was Shichihon-yari! We've had it at home before and it was consistently good 😙Finish with Tobiroki for a refreshing finish👍. We were all very satisfied 😊It was expensive but it was a precious moment to experience something out of the ordinary 😌. This is my 50th bottle of Sentori 🥰🥰🇺🇸 to be continued

Daughter & he 🇺🇸 visit report (2) On Saturday, we stayed up late until after 2:00 a.m. 🥱. But we are old enough to wake up early, so we went for our usual walk in the morning 👍returned before noon, but they were still dreaming 😴. They woke up around midnight! It's a proof of youth to be able to sleep till noon😅But my daughter said she could sleep well for the first time in a while 😌I'm happy as a parent 😄. After that, we all had a leisurely Japanese breakfast brunch, and in the evening we took a bus 🚌 into the city! When we got off the bus, he said "Thank you 🇯🇵" and then Nobby said "Thank you 🇺🇸". Not the other way around: ⁉️. Our destination was a nice sushi restaurant with only 7 seats at the counter, which was reserved just for us that day! We ordered a course with many snacks and toasted with beer first, then asked what kind of sake they had. We started with the Hikakami from the list! I knew it would be perfect with the fish 😋. He said he had never had such a great fish before 😊 and his smile said he was glad we came 🥹. J&N's sake was also on tap, followed by Yamasan's Sanke Nishiki Usu Nigori! I'm so glad I had a chance to try it 😙. Next up was Yamasan's Sanke Nishiki Usunigori, which I've been wanting to try, so I'm happy! It had a clean aftertaste and went well with the fish👍! Sushi Restaurant Drinking Continues Part 5 and is now complete! Pair with Miso-Filled Crab I'll close with Ichchorai, which Masa-san introduced to me a long time ago as a dry wine! Crab and sake are a golden combination, aren't they? The aroma is gorgeous 😌, the taste is refreshing and crisp, perfect for crab! Ah, happiness😮💨 After the crab, the conger eel is ready. When the conger eel comes out, it's almost the end 😢. And finally, miso soup, sponge cake-like omelet, and dried gourd rolls to finish it off! Ahh, it was a great dinner with delicious food and delicious drinks to complement it 😌. But I still want to drink with you. Next time we will try in 6 months, without alcohol the day before 😊.

Sushi Restaurant Drinking Continued Part 4 Here's the sake I was bringing up earlier in the post! You should be able to taste it better than when you drank it before🤔. Paired with mackerel, medium fatty tuna, and hand-delivered sea urchin. The dish has a strong flavor, and the smooth taste and excellent sharpness of the dry sake makes it another excellent food sake 😌. Perfect match for the food and enhances the taste even more👍 Undan was delicious 😋. It's almost the end of the day, so the next and last drink! to be continued

Sushi Restaurant Drinking Continued Part 3 Here is the one that came out saying "We have a rare one" ❗️. The best Tokujo Yamadanishiki from Yoshikawa was cut down to 40%, and only the best balanced middle portion was used to make this wine! Since it was the first time to open the bottle, all the customers at the counter ordered it. Even the owner couldn't resist taking a sip and was convinced👍. It is paired with grilled swordfish and deep-fried mehikari. No, it's hikakimi! And the best one, no doubt about it❗️. The bottle is beautiful, but so is the taste! It goes well with plucking, it goes as well as Jay and Nobby 🤣. And the fried Mexicali was also soooo good! Ahh I'm drinking slowly and it's empty again ......😢 To be continued

Sushi Restaurant Drinking Continued Part 2 Chawanmushi (steamed egg custard), ankimo hand rolls, and a series of the most delicious dishes. I can't stop drinking this stuff. Nobby sorry no one can stop me😤. So here's what followed After the fourth glass, the alcohol content came down from 19 to 19 to 16 to 13 😊. It may be dry on the palate, but it is very juicy! It's also great as a food sake! Oh, why do they run out so quickly 😢. And then I saw something rare. (to be continued)

Here's what I paired with the nigiri when it started It is a favorite of the local owner, who says it is the best sake for a meal. She is said to be one of the few female toji in the northern Kanto region. I strongly agree with your words that you want to handle more local sake. The owner also loves Tochigi ❤️. We had it with Kasuga snapper, squid, tuna and nigiri. This sake is also delicious❗️It is refreshing, clear and watery. But you can feel the umami of the rice. A comment on the label reads Enjoy the clear, transparent taste like "morning dew" gently nestled in green leaves, and the smooth, dignified sharpness. Yes, I enjoyed it 😊😊. Utsunomiya dinner at J&N😊. Only 7 seats at the counter at this sushi restaurant where the young proprietor is doing a great job ♫ This is my third visit! We were both looking forward to it, but we drank too much on Friday (I had several bottles in addition to Chuai 😓) and Nobby decided he couldn't drink today 😢. Jay also wanted to have a drink or two, so we decided to leave it to him with a half a half pint of a sake that was not on the regular menu. Oh! Naohiko Noguchi Institute came out. I had seen this one before, but this is my first time drinking sake 🥺, which is said to inherit the skills and life and death of the god of sake brewing. Started off with some firefly squid! Sashimi of flatfish and sweet sea bream followed. The pickings are delicious and the sake goes down 😮💨 It's kind of easy to drink, aromatic and rich in flavor! When I looked at the label, I saw that it was 19 degrees⁉️ It's totally different from the light, sweet and tasty ones I've had recently, but it went down my throat so smoothly that I didn't feel it had that much alcohol and drank it in no time at all! Next up was Aizan, also by Mr. Noriguchi, a Yamahai. The sardine rolled with nori was delicious! And the sake goes well with it too! It has a nice sweetness, but the acidity gives it a nice kick. It's hard to believe it's 19 degrees too. I'm going to go on. At first I thought 1-2 glasses, but there was no way I could finish this 🤔. To be continued

This is also a drink at a sushi restaurant in Utsunomiya. This is a drink that the owner recommended to me for various reasons. As a result, everyone at the counter ordered it😊. Thank you for your comment 😊. Sake at a sushi restaurant with a couple...that's so much fun! It's nice when the owner's recommendation is right in the middle 🍶. We drank only Sapporo Beer, which is only available in Hokkaido 😅.

This is a photo of sake served at a sushi restaurant when I didn't know the brand yet. When I was looking at the picture with my wife, I said "I've never had Nabeshima before". I had no memory of it at all😩. I want to go back to that day and taste it properly 😭.
