Timeline
KThe color is very typical of old sake, but the taste is not that heavy.
The aftertaste, in particular, is surprisingly refreshing, and although I don't like the heaviness of old sake, I can drink this one!
The combination of the oaky whiskey-like taste, the mellow wine-like aftertaste, and the sweetness of the sake, makes for a very satisfying experience!
4.25 KOh, yummy!
Sweet at the entrance, with a light acidity accent, a little sweetness in the mid-palate, and then again sweet and full of umami in the back palate, such a rich taste!
The goodness of Yamada-Nishiki is brought out to the fullest!
4.75 KSurprisingly sweet and juicy
Soft sweetness and juiciness, with a strong bitterness in the mid-palate.
The taste is structured from start to finish, yet it is still a good combination even in such a hot weather.
It's a very high level for the price!
4.75 KClear but soooo juicy!
This is like a lemon sour.
It's super light-bodied, but the balance of sweetness and acidity is really refined!
It also has that satisfying feeling that only sake can give!
This is a taste that only Abee can express, isn't it?
5.00 KMore beautiful and refreshing sweetness and acidity than Akitsuho
More robust than Nanadoro, sweet and delicious.
Not as full-bodied as Omachi or Rohafu.
Just right, but I would have liked to taste the sweetness that is typical of Aizan.
But still, Kaze no Mori is Kaze no Mori.
4.75 KBeautiful sweetness → Umami → Slight bitterness
There is a certain amount of umami lingering in the aftertaste, but not much of a daiginjo feel.
To be honest, it's mediocre, and I don't think the taste is worth the price.
3.75 K(Left photo)
The aroma was mild and there was no sense of wine.
It is refreshingly dry, but the strength of rice, which is typical of sake, can be felt to a certain extent.
3.75 K(Right photo)
New prefectures after a long time
From the aroma to the mouthfeel, it reminds me a little of syrup medicine.
The sharp aftertaste and the good balance of sweet and sour taste make the overall taste well balanced, but once you feel the medicine, you may feel a little uncomfortable.
3.50 KI skipped checking in.
The sweetness feels yellow>pink>green, but the green has a bitterness that the other two didn't have.
It is juicy, but also has a cool, refreshing taste, like green apple or muscatel.
My personal preference is somewhat lower than yellow and pink.
4.50 KI finally had a chance to drink Nanadoro.
It's quite refreshingly sweet.
It's a different style from the other Kaze no Mori, more light and refreshing, with a sweetness like strawberry and a lovely sourness.
The aroma is reminiscent of the mellow fruit aroma of banana and melon that is typical of Kaze no Mori, with something reminiscent of the aftertaste, but only slightly (it comes out a little more when the temperature rises, but I personally prefer it when the wine is well chilled).
Freshness and fizziness are strong.
Delicious, but I personally prefer Akitsuho.
I was really surprised at how different it was from the other Kaze no Mori.
4.75 KIt is easy to drink and refreshing, but at 17~18 degrees, it is a scary sight!
It is a very daiginjo-like sake, but considering the rice polishing ratio, it is rich enough in flavor and has a soft sweetness.
I think it also has an acidity similar to that of Shinmasa Cosmos, but maybe that is a preconceived notion?
4.00 KPersonally, this is my third S Kaze no Mori, and so far it is the closest to the usual Kaze no Mori in terms of flavor (banana and melon-like), or perhaps it has the same flavor as the usual Kaze no Mori.
However, it's still refreshing with zero low-pasteurization feeling.
I guess it's hard to feel the intention of this sake for the third glass...
4.50 KFresh heavenly flavor is good!
However, this is also a sweet and juicy type of wine.
The sweetness and umami spread quickly and disappear beautifully.
I don't think it has the strength and heaviness of Omachi, but personally, I'm fine with that...
4.50 KFirst Abe in two weeks!
This is also sweet and juicy! It's a bit sweeter than the yellow, but not as sweet as the yellow.
But it's still full of richness and flavor, and I really like it!
I never miss Abe!
5.00 KThis is a sake with Omachi's typical strength at the forefront.
It has a strong body, but there is little bitterness, and the umami is simply strong.
The sweetness can be felt quite well in the beginning.
It has a long aftertaste, but the aftertaste is not as heavy as the strength of the flavor, and has a moderate aftertaste.
4.25 KKaze no Mori is still Kaze no Mori, even in Omachi.
Aroma and taste like banana and melon, typical of Kaze no Mori.
It is juicy enough, probably due to the fact that it is picked in the middle of the harvest, but it is more refreshing and fruity than I expected.
I think Roha Kaze 807 is sweeter than Roha Kaze 807 (I checked the official chart and it was right).
4.50 KJust a sweet feeling.
Sugary sweetness is quite strong, and other elements such as acidity and umami are very weak.
Slight bitterness in the aftertaste
Not heavy.
