Dry junmai made with Yamagata's original sake rice, "Dewanosato". With a sake strength of +20, one would expect it to be very dry, but it is an excellent sake that retains its umami flavor. Perhaps it is because the rice is 70% polished. But it is also refreshing. We recommend it.
I served it with my favorite Tori-Irai Negimata.
Rice: 94% Dewanosato, 6% Dewasanbai
Polishing ratio 70%.
Yeast used: Yamagata yeast
Alcohol content 16.5
Sake degree +20.0
Acidity 1.5
Amino acidity 0.9
This is my first time to try Tohokuizumi's Nama-shu.
I had it cold 🍶.
The first aroma is slightly sweet.
In the mouth, it is dry and refreshing as is typical of Tohokuizumi, but it has a slight flavor of Omachi.
The more you roll it around on your tongue, the more umami it tastes.
I thought it would be delicious warmed up, but when I looked at the menu on the website a few minutes ago, it was gone, so I guess it was sold out.
It was quite delicious 🍶✨️
Touhoku Izumi, which was among the set sales.
But I know... it's delicious!
First of all, I drank it without adding the orikake... it has a dark fruitiness, then a chiliiness, and the bitterness comes rather clearly in the aftertaste.
Thanks to this bitterness, I can drink it clean!
If you add a little bit of cocoa powder, the chili taste becomes milder, and it becomes very easy to drink.
It is a good sake to drink with food because it is refreshing!
Even though it's sold as a set...it may even eclipse the star of the show! Delicious!
Sake rice Yamadanishiki
Polishing rice 50%.
ALC 16.5 degrees
The taste is rich. The aroma is fruity. The lingering aftertaste has a strong alcohol taste. There is little oriki.
