Today is the first Toyama sake 🍶 in a while.
This is Turtle No. 1🐢 from Manjusen.
This sake is brewed in a large jar and has twice the amount of koji as usual.
Let's enjoy it.
The bottle is slightly carbonated.
The rice flavor is overwhelming, but it is fruity. The second half is a melon🍈 feeling. The bitter taste is followed by a crisp finish.
This is a mellow, umami, dry sake. It is a round yet beautiful sake. If I were to use an analogy, it would be a sake like a pearl.
It is not a modern sake, but it is a good sake that is very drinkable, but you will not get tired of drinking it.
