Memorandum for myself The aroma is fruity, just like Hououmida. When I poured it into a glass, I could not see any cloudiness. In the mouth, it has a fresh ripe apricot flavor. It has a great sweetness and umami. It is a typical Houou Mita. If you drink it after some time, the bitterness comes out and you can drink it without getting tired of it. It is simply wonderful. How about a repeat? If it is sold next time, I would love to have it.

Memorandum for myself I was able to successfully purchase this season. However, it has become more and more difficult to obtain them every year. This year, I had no trouble opening the bottle and was able to do so easily. When I poured it into a glass, it was a little less "shuwa". The aroma is of fresh koji. When you put it in your mouth, it stimulates your tongue with a tangy taste and is like a sweet and tasty dry lactic acid drink. It has a delicious taste that only Hirotogawa can produce, which is different from that of Yukidaruma. Will you try it again? Soon.

When I put it in my mouth, I felt the tangy sensation that stimulated my tongue a little, along with the acidity that is also a characteristic of Shinsei. However, the acidity is not so strong in this earth, and it is fruity and very easy to drink. It has a good sharpness and a moderate aftertaste. We were lucky enough to purchase this at a liquor store that we sometimes visit. When I poured it into a glass, the color was yellowish and a little thick. The aroma was a bit like brown sugar. When you put it in your mouth, the sweet, concentrated flavor spreads in your mouth. After that, the bitterness comes and finishes nicely. Caramelized almond-like? I still have no vocabulary. Memorandum for myself This is the first drink of 2023. I chose this sake because I thought it would go well with hors d'oeuvres for New Year's dishes. It may not have much of an aroma, but my preconceived notions gave it a somewhat sweet aroma. When I poured it into a glass, I could see the bubbles peculiar to Shinmasa. When I took a sip, I felt a sweetness like that of plum wine or apricot wine. It is a kijo sake, after all, so the sweetness lingers in the aftertaste as well. However, it was not too sweet, but rather a refreshing sweetness derived from fruit. It is strange that there is no fruit in it... Would you repeat it? It was a valuable experience, but I think I would like to try it only once.

Memorandum for myself This is a drinking comparison with UA Snowman. The fizziness was stronger here. The color of the supernatant is almost transparent, which is different from UA. When I poured it into a glass, I could see the strong bubbles. When I put it in my mouth, I found it to be this, this, this! It is a slightly bitter Calpis with a moderate sweetness. It has a nice sharpness. Is it drier this year? In comparison with UA, I prefer the original one by far. I can taste various flavors in UA, but I felt that they are not integrated. On the other hand, I felt that everything was integrated in the original and it was very well put together. How about a repeat? Next year by all means!

Memorandum for myself Since it is Christmas, I will open two types of snowmen in order. It's a collaboration with United Arrows. The jackets are adorable. We were able to open the bottle without spurting out because we had let it sit for a while after purchasing it. The supernatant is a little yellow and mixed with lees and poured into a glass. I think there is less lees than a snowball. It has the same fizzy and bubbly sensation as the snowman. In the mouth, it is bitter and sour. There is also a refreshing sweetness. Various tastes come in turn. So this is nigori sake with an assemblage of flavors. It is completely different from the snowball sake I have been drinking. It is crisp and refreshing, so it seems to go well with all kinds of food. Would you buy it again? No, I wouldn't buy it at this price.

Memorandum for myself I bought it in a bottle but the stopper is simple lol Since it is a draft sake, it was quite vigorous when the bottle was opened. When poured into a glass, it is clear and smooth. The aroma is a little muscat? In the mouth, it was slightly fruity with a hint of bitterness. It was very youthful. After about the third day, the wine calmed down a little and the sweetness and umami became more apparent. I prefer it on the third day after opening the bottle. Would I drink it again? No, I don't think so.

Memorandum for myself This is a trophy of my trip to Niigata. I often see hiragana "takachiyo" lees, but I don't think I see kanji "takachiyo" lees... I heard that it is only available in Niigata Prefecture, but I wonder how it is. Is it available at antenna stores? The bottle is opened with a screw cap, so it is not very vigorous. When poured into a glass, it is slightly cloudy, but I could not see much gasiness. The aroma is that of rum. It is sweet and bitter in the mouth. Ah, the kanji! It is sweet, but a refreshing bitterness comes quite a bit later. I felt it was difficult to match it with food. Would I repeat it? Probably not.

We had this at an izakaya (Japanese style bar) that we visited for dinner. The izakaya had a fairly large selection of local sake from Niigata Prefecture, and although I was very worried, I decided on this one, which I knew the name of but could not find locally. We poured a glass full of this sake. The color was clear. It was a little sweet in the mouth. It is not the fruity flavor that is popular, but the sweetness of the rice. It has a strong umami flavor and is clean and crisp. Is it a "light and delicious" sake? Ah, it is like a Niigata sake. Thank you very much.

Memorandum for myself It is a souvenir of my son's trip to Shikoku. It is a honjozo brewed in a small bottle of 180㎖. The aroma is that of aluzoe. When poured into a sake cup, it is clear and colorless. When you put it in your mouth, you may wonder, "Is it light? Is it light? After a beat, the punch of the aluzoe awakens you. Memorandum for myself Please note that the cork will fly out vigorously when opened. After opening the bottle, put the cork in the bottle and mix the lees. When poured into a vessel, it was a white, cloudy sake with a slight sparkle. The gasiness is unexpectedly strong. The aroma was a little lychee-like.
