Work dinner: 🍽️ We had Kamo Nishiki's Upper Line 🍶. I was so excited at the beginning that I asked for a rare sake, but I failed to consider how it would go with the food 😞. The sake was very sweet and tasted like something you would enjoy on its own. The sake is very sweet and tastes like something you would enjoy on its own. It thickens and leaves an aftertaste, so cheese or dry food would be a good match 🎵. It didn't go well with the stone skin, so I carefully examined both with a glass of water in between... It was a little difficult!

At home 🏠. After a week of soaking in the afterglow of our trip to Tochigi, we ended the week with a bottle of "Sentori" 🍶. It is said to be fire-brewed, but the fresh, clear, pear-like flavor is probably due to the quality of the water. The sweetness is kept in check and the aftertaste is gorgeous. Next up... Hiran" 🍶. I was not impressed with other sake rice varieties before, but this "Nikkomaru" is delicious 🤤. It seems that I've come to like the sake made from the traditional sake yeast! The taste is like pineapple and muscat. The sweetness is refreshing, so be careful not to drink too much. ⚠️ Yumoto is located in Lake Yunoko at the end of Lake Chuzenji, and its water flows through "Senjogahara" and passes "Ryuzu no Taki" to Lake Chuzenji. The water flowing through the bottom of the river, where volcanic eruptions have hardened, was very dynamic, especially with the rain from the previous day! On the way home, we planned to visit Senkou, but were disappointed to learn that the brewery is closed on holidays. I would like to visit Tochigi Prefecture another time.

Next up... Tochigi Prefecture's local sake "Tsuji Zenbei" 🍶. We found this sake at a liquor store in Lake Chuzenji. It is a little heavy and good for this middle stage of drinking. The next morning, I went to the hot spring behind the inn because I was told that there was a place where hot water gushed out. The hot water was like a hell valley, as it is called "Yumoto" in Japanese. The spring water is drawn directly from here to each inn, so the quality of the spring water was excellent. There is a nice spot nearby where you can take a footbath, but it's so hot that it's crazy ♨️ It takes 30 minutes to get used to it... Still, 10 seconds is my limit and my knees are red 🦵. Don't forget to buy some salted yokan (sweet bean jelly) as a souvenir at the Japanese sweets shop next door...

Next up... Tochigi Prefecture's Local Sake "Sawahime" 🍶! My friend stopped by Chuzenji Lake and bought this for me! I thought Hitogokochi was a sake rice only grown in Nagano Prefecture, but it is also grown in Tochigi Prefecture 😮. It was a delicious, easy-drinking sake with the strength of Yamahai and the riceiness of Junmai 🍶.

I've accumulated so much that I'm releasing it: 🏞️ We were planning to go to Yamanakako for a group camping trip on the consecutive holidays just before the summer vacation, but the weather was not good, so we had to change the plan. 🗓️ We went to Yumoto in Nikko City, Tochigi Prefecture for a hot spring trip. ♨️ We were a big group of 3 families and 11 people, so we thought there was no accommodation that we could book the day before, but miraculously we found one🎯. I was so excited that I made a reservation right away, but when I looked at the reviews later, I found a lot of suspicious things written about it... I thought it would be better than camping in the rain, lol, so I decided to try it out just to see what would scare me, and with a little added excitement, let's go! The picture is of the riverbank next to the restrooms before the "Iroha slope"! The water is super cold and awesome😆. Well, the first to open the door was "Koei Kiku"! The first one is "Gekko" 🌙 which is a little bit expensive. Sweet, pithy, and slightly greefy! Delicious 🤤🍶!

［FOO FIGHTERS] Ao Half Night We opened another bottle to compare 🍶. As the label on the back says, this one is a little lighter and sweeter 🤏. ［FOO FIGHTERS] Half Night "Silver I bought this sake last year and kept it on display 🍶. The Foo Fighters, who love Japanese sake and will be performing at Fuji Rock, went to Tatenogawa's brewery and the toji-san played a song and brewed this sake. When I was in high school, the Foo Fighters were gutted by my musical roots, which flowed from punk rock to alternative and settled on heavy metal. I never thought I would meet them in this way. 🤘🏼 The label is made to look like a Kanji character with Roman characters. If you look closely, you can see 👁️ Can you read it? The taste of "Gin" is dry and quite robust. It is pure Dai, but it is heavy with a strong sake taste. I see, did it express brutal music? Or did they let it sit too long? It is a Tanabata night that makes you think 🎋.

This year's Ryusui Sen is a little different from last year's! The astringency has been reduced, the aroma is richer, and the flavor is deeper than last year's 🍶. This "Hitogokochi" is made from the original sake yeast. When we opened the sealed cap, the crown floated out and opened the bottle by itself. The full-bodied flavor while maintaining a refreshing acidity will keep the cup going. ☺️ Well, the growth is fantastic👍! Very tasty 🤤. Well, today is Father's Day 👨. I bought a bookshelf at IKEA in the morning, cleaned my room, cleared out the storage room, assembled the bookshelf I bought and just finished a big family service 🫠. Today, I'm going to have meat soba noodles to nourish my energy! This sake is sweet but light, so it goes very well with soba noodles. Well, I worked hard!

I just now received a bottle of sake from my mother's side of the family for New Year's. Kyoto is quite a big city, so the scenery changes a lot when you go to the Tango area. The most famous ones are "Amanohashidate" and "Funaya of Ine". In the winter, the Japan Sea is rough and it snows heavily, but in the summer, it is calm and I remember that I was often taken to the sea during summer vacation 🌊. Today's sake was dry 🍶 and since we had sushi, it was refreshing! The alcohol feeling spreading out, this reminds me of a local festival! I was in junior high school when I was already tongue-tied... I was already in junior high school when I got tongue-tied... I never thought I'd connect with a place like this lol I'm glad I can drink slowly now 🍶.

Yakitori and a glass of sake on the way home from a meeting🍶. Yakitori restaurant "Fu-Rin-Kazan" is located on Sakaecho Street at the east exit of Ikebukuro. It has been renovated and has a modern appearance, but it is said to have a history of over 50 years. Grandpa and grandma plus their energetic grandson were smiling and grilling for us. The interaction with the 20-something grandson instructing Grandpa over the counter made me feel cheerful. The quality of the yakitori is very high! Everything was delicious, but the liver in particular was amazingly plump 🫢. I should have taken a picture of my meal 😭 The sake was "Urakasumi" in a bamboo cup! It was dry and refreshing, but the flavor of the chilled bamboo cup made it a bit mellower. The sake was just like a Japanese sake! That's what I felt like that day.

Collage is the coolest place to be in the summer. The first time I opened the bottle, it was a bit cloudy. The first time I went to the beach, I was in the middle of the night, and I was so excited to see the sunset. What is Oyoyo? Well, the aroma is gorgeous, and although it has a cloudy lactic acidity, the texture on the tongue is surprisingly refreshing 💎. But it's totally more sake-like than I expected 🍶. It's been a long time since I've had a packaged sake 🏷️🍶 I was soooo picking it up because it's called "Dewa Sanzan" ☺️ First of all, I love the name of sake rice lol. It makes me want to say 🎵 in vain. I always take a picture before opening the bottle, but when I was taking a picture of the crown, the crown blew off without me doing anything 🫥. I thought it would be a catastrophe, but I was relieved to see that the alcohol did not overflow. 😮‍💨 When I poured it into the glass, the aroma was very rich and did not disappoint! It has a light sweetness and just a hint of bitterness, with a clear and beautiful flavor. It is easy to drink with a slight fizziness 🍶. Probably tastes even better after the third day (´´that´´s the decision I made). As usual, I won't miss the packaged sake 🍶. Well, the weather was very nice this weekend, so I was riding around Tokyo on my motorcycle. I usually just let it flow without thinking, but this day I went to "Tokyo Cathedral of St. Mary of the Angels" in Mejirodai: ⛪️ I am neither Catholic nor Christian, but I like architecture 😊. I once came to see it from Osaka when I was a student. Architect Kenzo Tange is a genius in creating this overwhelming presence. There are many great buildings in Tokyo, so I might go on a bike tour again. 🏍️

Irregular liquor 🍶 The taste of Onshu mandarins themselves🍊 Is this a 120% drink? The juice and pulp attack 🏐. It tastes so rich! This is the kind of drink you would get at a slightly more sophisticated ryotei restaurant or hotel! (I've never been there though). I think Houou Mida's fruit juice series also includes peach. They also say they don't use preservatives and need to be refrigerated: ❄️ It's like the freshly squeezed fruit has been turned into a delicious sake and powered up 😘. Yummy yummy yummy 🤤.

Kuromatsu Senjo", a local sake from Takato-machi, Ina City, Nagano Prefecture. I bought it at a GW camping trip. I wonder if it is similar to Toyobai, Hiran, and Tobirazumi. It has a robust flavor with a ginjo aroma, sweetness, and richness. Today was a hot day for maintenance of my mom's bike and a moment on the bike 🏍️ It was a nice breeze 🌪️ Homemade pancakes and sake 🍶. It was delicious!
