Purchased at a liquor store in Nakazaki-cho after an event at Ogimachi Park with Nemuchi The design looks like something you'd find in a bottle at an izakaya 😅. Normally I wouldn't pass it up, but I thought it looked unusual and bought it. It's been a year since it was made, but I don't feel it's aged too long. It is light, refreshing and easy to drink.

This is the last Maikaze series for this year. It's been quite a while, but we'll be having "Mt. Haruna" for the last time! When the bottle is opened and poured, it has a relaxing sweet aroma. It has a peachy aroma. It also has a slightly banana-like flavor. The palate is smooth, as is typical of Gunma sake, with a slight sweetness that is typical of "Maifu" and a nice astringent taste that plays an active role in the background! The astringency also gives it a mineral taste, which I personally feel is similar to the "Tenpyo Junmai" that I drank before👍. In the latter half, the astringency becomes the main taste, which reminds me of grapefruit. It melts away at the end, so it goes down smoothly! I've enjoyed many Maikaze series this year, including "Akagisan"✨I'm looking forward to next year!

The rice used is Gohyakumangoku. I bought it at the end of last year at an antenna store in Toyama. I didn't know about this brand. The color is a light amber. The color is pale amber, and the flavor is just as it should be. It's relatively easy to drink because it's crisp and not overpowering, but it didn't seem to suit my partner who likes floral and sweet flavors. It didn't match well with the grilled chicken, but I think it will swell up with time, so I'll leave it for a while. It's quite a unique sake, and I don't dislike it!

We also had a chance to drink some more sake from Toyama Prefecture. Taitozan, the main brand of Tonami City's Yoshie Sake Brewery. The factory where it is bottled and processed caught fire this spring and was unable to ship, but with the cooperation of the Toyama Sake Brewers Association, it was bottled and shipped by Masuda Shuzo, the brewer of Manjusen. Purchased at an Aeon liquor store in Tonami City. The aroma has a strong alcohol-like scent. It tastes like aged sake with a strong sourness and bitterness. It is really like drinking aged old sake. Sake is a very deep drink.

A gaseous feeling with bubbles floating in the sake cup. The aroma is sweet, glossy and fresh. Sweet aromas of well ripened banana and melon-like weight. And yet, it contains a refreshingly cool sense of selfeil. The rice aroma is about the size of a white dumpling. The mouthfeel is smooth with a gentle stimulation of lively gasiness. The palate is a rush of pleasantly intoxicating sweetness that overflows with fruity notes. The fresh acidity balances the fruity sweetness. While the fresh, bouncy, rich flavor is overwhelming, the rich umami of the rice flows with the sweetness, and the gasiness and acidity are light. The nose has a sweet, rich nuance with a slight hint of nail polish that gives it a cool impression. There is also a sense of umami core with a freshness. There is also a bitter tightness from the last part of the bottle, and the sharpness is not bad. The lingering aftertaste is long. Deliciousness that makes you grin and smile. ☺️ Well, I was a bit impressed after a long time 😳 I want to spread this kind of sake!
