Tasted slightly chilled. This was a new offering at the local store. Nose is sweet with heavy bubblegum and cotton candy. Flavor is heavy on plum and cherry cough drop. Finish chemical with alcohol lingering. An odd drink but not too sweet on the palate.
During a business trip to Sapporo, all-you-can-drink nigori sake was served at a gathering of related parties. It was not too sweet, soft, full-bodied, and very tasty. I couldn't help but drink too much.
Kitanohomare K30 Konjun is a junmai sake from Godo Shusei brewed at a factory in Asahikawa, Hokkaido.
The amount of koji used in the brewing process is 1.5 times larger than usual, resulting in a rich, full aroma and flavor that spreads in the mouth.
It is a delicious sake that will not be defeated by strong-flavored dishes such as Chinese food.

The design looks like something you'd find in a bottle at an izakaya 😅.
Normally I wouldn't pass it up, but I thought it looked unusual and bought it.
It's been a year since it was made, but I don't feel it's aged too long. It is light, refreshing and easy to drink.
