Very refreshing! First taste is muscat with a hint of cucumber towards the finish. There is a slight dryness at the finish which is nice. A light mouth feel and a short finish. The name of this Sake is true to the flower.

I ordered another sake with it, which I had never heard of before. It was a rare sake from Oita Prefecture. It was also sweet and tasty. It has a slight acidity in the aftertaste. I think I prefer this one.

From the jacket, I thought it would be a light, dry, smooth and elegant type 🤔. When I drank it, I found it to be medium dry with a solid richness and flavor... 😋 I felt like we suddenly became friends🎶. Sauteed peppers with salted kelp (salted kelp flavor), turban shells in a jar, goes well with a variety of Japanese food😻 It's also a great gift 👍✨.

I usually don't drink that much 🍷 and 🍶 a little vacation. I only drink Nouveau 🍷 at a small wine specialty shop owned by the owner, who has experience as the best sommelier in Japan every year. It's easy to drink, has a nice mouthfeel, and is dry with a nice flavor and sharpness. It's also delicious and reminds me of a white wine! The Nouveau chosen by the owner this year was expensive... but he said he had no choice because of the weak yen and the international situation.

Last weekend I was out of sake to go with oden, so I went to the local supermarket and bought a 300㎖ bottle for the sake. It has a sweet and refreshing taste. It's good at hiya, but it tastes even better when it's warmed up to human skin temperature to increase the sweetness. However, I thought it would be too clean to pair with oden. I chose this sake because I wanted to keep it light, but.... If I wanted to warm it up, I could have used a more robust Junmaishu or even Honjozo. I'm still learning💦.

On a trip to Shiga, I visited Hirai Shoten. The quaint appearance of the store and the display of products were a sight to behold. Today's bottle was the "Sake Brewer's 3003000 Year Old" (pictured left). The aroma is melon, apple, and pineapple, and the first sip is a punch. It has a mellow sweetness, but the acidity and bitterness make it crisp and refreshing. Delicious. Well, Shiga Prefecture was fun! I'm also looking forward to Kosetsu (I heard it's read as Fouche) on the right side of the photo 😄.
