Hamada Shuzo, whose company name is Satsuma Kinzan Kura K.K., as the name implies, is a brewery that uses the tunnels of the Kushikino gold mine to brew shochu (Japanese liquor). As part of its shochu research, Kagoshima Prefecture has revived sake production, which had been discontinued for about 40 years.
I bought a bottle at the Kagoshima antenna store in Yurakucho. It has a sweet potato taste? It is refreshingly sweet and suitable for cold sake. We tried to make the popular Khao Mangai, so we used it as a food sake.
The second one is hydrangea of Oji Asukayama.

It is Satsushu Masamune Junmai sake.
Bibi and his wife took a vacation in Kagoshima. We had this sake at a pub near the Tenmonkan. Since we came all the way to Kagoshima, we had shochu, but we also had sake. This sake has a sweet taste of rice, and it goes well with Kagoshima dishes.
We had it with tobiko (flying fish) dipped in soy sauce and other dishes.
After last Thursday's trip to Hirado, I spent Friday and Saturday sightseeing in Kagoshima for the first time with an acquaintance!
The main purpose of the trip was to visit the whisky distilleries of Kanosuke and Tsunuki 🥃.
Last Thursday Sakurajima erupted for the first time in several years🌋.
There was so much volcanic ash that even the residents were surprised 😅It rained the whole trip due to the beginning of the rainy season, but it was fun ☺️
And as a souvenir for myself, I bought a bottle of Kagoshima sake, Satsushu Masamune 🍶 It is made by Daiyame, a well-known company in the shochu world!
Cold sake.
Gorgeous aroma with a banana-like richness and acidity.
Mellow sweet type with a refreshing yet lingering sweetness on the tongue.
Voluminous with a slightly long aftertaste.
It would go well with Jidori chicken tataki.
I got Tenshi at the store in Kagoshima, so I bought this one for home drinking 🍶.
Sake made by a shochu brewery.

Aroma is a little floral, taste is a unique type of umakuchi 🤔I'm not very good at it, but 💦.
Soft and easy to drink with a little bitterness added in the aftertaste 😀.
I don't think I feel much acidity.
I served it with peanut tofu and sautéed pork 🐷, which I got in Okayama and is a local dish in Kagoshima.
The peanut tofu and raw vegetables went well together 😊.
Good morning, soumacho 😃.
Kagoshima indeed! Is the shochu brewery the main 😅 local sake goes well with the local snacks 😋.
I'm curious about the peanut🥜 tofu!
Good morning, Jay & Nobby 😀.
The label says it's for use in the evolution of shochu, good to know 😊.
Peanut Tofu 🥜 has the taste of peanuts without the sweetness and the texture is tofu.
It's like a perfect combination 😄.
I bought this at the souvenir shop at Kagoshima Chuo Station during a trip to Kagoshima. In addition to sweetness and umami, it has a subtle spiciness. It is easy to drink and has a lingering aftertaste, and is recommended as a food sake 😄.
