This is one of the bottles that was sold in a set with Tobiroki at Hasegawa sake shop, it was made in October 2020, so I guess they used Tobiroki to clear this stock 😅. I'm not a big fan of the Satsuma Masamune, but I'm not a big fan of the Tobiroki either. I was a bit worried because it's a raw stored sake, almost a year after production, but there were no quality issues 😄. Rather, I didn't feel the peculiarity that I felt when I drank Junmai Ginjo before, and it tastes better than that time 🌟. It has a slight sweetness, a strong alcohol feeling and a spiciness that comes down the throat, not very distinctive but enough for everyday drinking. Cold sake is the best 😚

I bought this at the souvenir shop at Kagoshima Chuo Station during a trip to Kagoshima. In addition to sweetness and umami, it has a subtle spiciness. It is easy to drink and has a lingering aftertaste, and is recommended as a food sake 😄.

I went to Kagoshima in January🍶. Kirishima hot spring, Ibusuki hot spring, sand steaming ♨️ The most memorable place for me this time was the Chiran Peace Museum for Kamikaze pilots. There was a tasting place called "Shochu Dojo" in Ibusuki Onsen, and I was allowed to drink a little. Kagoshima is not a good place to grow rice because the volcanic ash from Sakurajima soaks into the water too quickly 💦. The brewer spent about 5 years improving the soil 🍶. Valentine's Day 💌. Hikonya got 189! My grandpa got 1, but I don't think he can be outdone in the weight of his love 🍶. ⛰️ grandma, thank you 🙏

In 2012, the company began brewing sake under the brand name "Satsushu Masamune" in a dedicated facility on the premises. This is the first time in 40 years since 1972 that sake has been brewed and produced in Kagoshima Prefecture. The challenge of producing sake, something they had no experience in, was said to be to apply the technology they had acquired to shochu production. Training for preparation began in 1996, and the students traveled to breweries in the Chubu region to acquire the skills. This sake is sold only within Kagoshima Prefecture. There are two types of sake: a rich-tasting junmai sake made with "Tsukushihomare" sake rice and a fruity-tasting junmai ginjo sake made with "Yamadanishiki" rice.
