It is Satsushu Masamune Junmai sake.
Bibi and his wife took a vacation in Kagoshima. We had this sake at a pub near the Tenmonkan. Since we came all the way to Kagoshima, we had shochu, but we also had sake. This sake has a sweet taste of rice, and it goes well with Kagoshima dishes.
We had it with tobiko (flying fish) dipped in soy sauce and other dishes.
After last Thursday's trip to Hirado, I spent Friday and Saturday sightseeing in Kagoshima for the first time with an acquaintance!
The main purpose of the trip was to visit the whisky distilleries of Kanosuke and Tsunuki 🥃.
Last Thursday Sakurajima erupted for the first time in several years🌋.
There was so much volcanic ash that even the residents were surprised 😅It rained the whole trip due to the beginning of the rainy season, but it was fun ☺️
And as a souvenir for myself, I bought a bottle of Kagoshima sake, Satsushu Masamune 🍶 It is made by Daiyame, a well-known company in the shochu world!
Cold sake.
Gorgeous aroma with a banana-like richness and acidity.
Mellow sweet type with a refreshing yet lingering sweetness on the tongue.
Voluminous with a slightly long aftertaste.
It would go well with Jidori chicken tataki.
I got Tenshi at the store in Kagoshima, so I bought this one for home drinking 🍶.
Sake made by a shochu brewery.
Polishing ratio 60
Alcohol content 15
Aroma is a little floral, taste is a unique type of umakuchi 🤔I'm not very good at it, but 💦.
Soft and easy to drink with a little bitterness added in the aftertaste 😀.
I don't think I feel much acidity.
I served it with peanut tofu and sautéed pork 🐷, which I got in Okayama and is a local dish in Kagoshima.
The peanut tofu and raw vegetables went well together 😊.
Good morning, soumacho 😃.
Kagoshima indeed! Is the shochu brewery the main 😅 local sake goes well with the local snacks 😋.
I'm curious about the peanut🥜 tofu!
Good morning, Jay & Nobby 😀.
The label says it's for use in the evolution of shochu, good to know 😊.
Peanut Tofu 🥜 has the taste of peanuts without the sweetness and the texture is tofu.
It's like a perfect combination 😄.
I bought this at the souvenir shop at Kagoshima Chuo Station during a trip to Kagoshima. In addition to sweetness and umami, it has a subtle spiciness. It is easy to drink and has a lingering aftertaste, and is recommended as a food sake 😄.
I went to Kagoshima in January🍶.
Kirishima hot spring, Ibusuki hot spring, sand steaming ♨️
The most memorable place for me this time was the Chiran Peace Museum for Kamikaze pilots.
There was a tasting place called "Shochu Dojo" in Ibusuki Onsen, and I was allowed to drink a little.
Kagoshima is not a good place to grow rice because the volcanic ash from Sakurajima soaks into the water too quickly 💦. The brewer spent about 5 years improving the soil 🍶.
Valentine's Day 💌.
Hikonya got 189!
My grandpa got 1, but I don't think he can be outdone in the weight of his love 🍶.
⛰️ grandma, thank you 🙏
Hi Kyuzo 😀
Good gift of love for your trip with your wife😇.
I would like to follow the example of my seniors and enjoy our drinking life as close as possible 🙋.
Please let me know the secret of your good friendship 🙇.
Good evening, Kyuzo 😃.
Congratulations on your Kagoshima sake 🍶.
It weighs in on the secret to marital bliss 😆.
But your wife is kind 🍫☺️
I've seen Tenpyo relatively, but I'd love to try Satsushu Masamune someday, which is coveted by Masamune hunters all over the country 🤔.
Good morning, Kyuzo 😃.
I see 🧐There is a reason why Kagoshima has few sake! It's a good way to learn about society 📚! Maybe the kids should watch it too 😆.
I have 0 chocolate 🥲 but I always love it like air 😌 just kidding 😅
Hello, Kyuzo 🐦.
Nice! Kagoshima🌋I enjoy many things, and I feel your wife's love for your gift 🍫💕Patience and care are important 🤣.
I only know Tenpyo 💦 I'd like to try this one too😊.
