Visiting Ise with my wife's parents! (We just went there last October 😅) Geku shrine → Sarutahiko shrine → lunch at Ise Kaku Uchingu restaurant → around the inner shrine and back to the inn for my parents and to Ise Man for myself and my wife 😁. This time, due to the space in our fridge (and budget), we only tasted the raw sake! It was refreshing and delicious 😋😋😋.

Kami no Ho, is the name of sake rice. It is made in Mie Prefecture and seems to be rather limited to the region. The taste was milder than that of nama-shu, but full-flavored. It was a delicious sake.

Shinetsu-Hokuriku Product Exhibition at Tobu Department Store Purchased at Yoshinoya's sales booth in Nishinomon This is the first time I heard of this brand. According to the store clerk, it is a local brand. There is not much aroma, and the sweetness and umami are very strong. A little sourness and a little bit of miscellaneous taste. The aftertaste is soft. I did not know this brand, but it is a delicious sake. We enjoyed it with yellowtail tataki we got at the same venue. Junmai Nama-zake with a 50% rice polishing ratio. A good value.

Always at the store Shintaro, when the master opened the shpon and opened it vigorously. It is not a ginjo, but it has a fruity and it is delicious. It was a good taste 😆. The accompaniment was homemade smoked salmon.

The 11th bottle of 2025 home brew 🍶. I received a bottle of Shintaro from Kochi Prefecture! The label is austere 😏I got it from the hanpukai and it was a good encounter because this is a brand I don't often buy myself 🍶I would give it to someone if I had a "Shintaro" around me 🙆‍♂️ It tasted and crisp and delicious! Return Series. With the concept of "to the world", alcohol 12℃. It's something I've been curious about because of my perception that it's an emerging force in Niigata. It's a white wine taste. Almost a white wine. The sourness of the wine was so strong that I gave up on it.

A 50% polished Junmai Daiginjo, Meguro Gorosuke, from Tama Flavor in Uonuma City (formerly Morimon Village), Niigata Prefecture. As is typical of Uonuma sake, it is a ginjo-shu that is not overly aromatic. I remember drinking it once at Tatsuya, a yakiton (grilled pork dumpling) restaurant in Numabukuro on the Seibu Shinjuku Line.

Lighter than expected, sour, sweet and ricey. I was worried before drinking it because it had quite a bit of color, but I was relieved to see the explanation on the back label. The Tama Flavor brewery is known for its regular brand, Tama Flavor, which is a light, dry sake that is the king of Uonuma, but they also brew Itkey and 46°C Echigo-Bushi (Samurai), which I recognized once again as a brewery with a very sharp personality.

Hakone Drink Comparison Set (3) On March 1, after a year-long event, I went on a trip to Hakone as a way of consolation! The local sake was served to compare with Japanese kaiseki. Is Hakone Ginjo the name of the brand? However, I am not sure because the name does not come up at all when I looked it up on Google... I haven't had a fire-brewed ginjo-shu in a long time. The ginjo aroma is pleasant. It has an elegant aroma and sharpness, and is the smoothest dry sake of them all. It is very good as a food sake for Japanese food, and goes well with white fish and vegetables. It is also good with sashimi!
