The meat gift from my daughter arrived very late as a birthday present for my husband and I, who are three days apart 🎁. My son gave each of us a gift of our choice (alcohol for me again, this time liqueur 😅) It seems to be a local sake from Nagahama, Kita Omi, which is made of sake and blue herb 🌿 "Butterflapi" and represents the charm of Lake Oku-Biwako. I have an early summer vacation 😆. I enjoy going on historical trips, and this time I plan to go from Omi Nagahama to Kohoku and enter Kyoto from Saba Kaido (mackerel road). We made friends with the volunteer interpreter and stayed for 2 hours. The photo shows Kotani Castle and the bridge where Mitsunari Ishida is said to have been captured, as one of the volunteers told us.

I had always wanted to come to this restaurant, Jyu. It was a nice place. The sake I chose was Dokure, which is labeled as an amazing sake from Kure. At first sip, I felt a slight sourness, but when paired with food, it was very good. As one would expect from a master brewer, he made the sake he wanted to make himself. I bought it by weight the day after the Hankai Train Off-line Meeting. I took this opportunity to buy it because Miyakotsuru's draft sake is rarely distributed. This is an annex of a store in Fushimi that sells all of Fushimi's sake in Nihonbashi, Osaka. I wonder if the sake brewers' association is involved? The bottles come in various sizes and labels, and you buy the bottle you want and pour it. You pour the sake yourself, but since I was right on the 300 ml mark, I received a sake cup as a "Pitari" prize. The taste is melon-like with a clean mouthfeel. The long, thin and extended acidity is impressive. It is a little light and has a sweet and spicy flavor. After about a week, the flavor seems to have opened up, or rather, the flavor profile has become more defined.

This is a piece of bread I bought on my way back from a trip to Kirifuri Kogen. I thought it was the perfect name for a souvenir, but I was surprised to find it was made by Senkou 😳.
