The sake I chose when I returned home for Obon was Gold Junmai Daiginjo by Popular Sake Brewery. This sake brewery is very particular about the traditional method of making sake, and everything is made in wooden vats. It is a junmai daiginjo that is polished to 50%, so there is no cloying taste at all ✨It starts with an elegant sweetness and rice flavor, with the aroma of the wooden vat and a slight bitterness at the end. Delicious 😊.

Hakkeikubiki is a series of the eight blessings of Kakizaki: sun, water, earth, sky, wind, trees, snow, and people. This is wind. Come to think of it, it was windy in Kakizaki. This is the second bottle from the Sake Rice Study Group. The sake rice is locally grown Koshitanrei. The aroma is light, but has the gorgeous flavor of a daiginjo. The taste is very broad. It is delicious.

This is the second in a series of ordered alcoholic beverages. I drank it to study it, as it is another brand of Kubiki Shuzo from the Koshiji-no-Kenbai series. What a surprise! This is delicious! It is very tasty. It is the cheapest grade in the Kubiki series, but it was extremely refreshing, with a nice aroma and a smooth taste. I brought it with me on a camping trip and drank it all by myself within a few hours. I'll have to repeat this. I'll have to buy a bottle. If I can get to Niigata, that is.

Three staggering drunks strolling to the next restaurant🐾🐈🐾 We drank only our favorites at the first restaurant, so the second one was Aomori sake (๑🍶๑🍶🍶´-) Yum! Fruity! I decided to go to ❣️ because I had never had it before and because of the words "fruity". Exactly! Aomori means scallops 🥰. This is the first time I actually ate them there 🎶. Purchased at the HYOGO SAKE EXPO. The aroma is of aged aroma like Shaoxing wine. The hint of gunpowder-like aroma. I think it is clean and easy to drink for an aged wine. I thought it would be good to drink with fruits and sweets. The acidity is a nice accent. Perhaps because it is a daiginjo, it feels fruity even though it is an aged sake.

Harima is a sake from Miki. Although unfiltered, it had a beautiful mouthfeel with no cloying taste. It was a truly delicious sake with a pleasantly cool flavor and umami.

It was a traditional sake with a strong flavor, and went very well with the avocado yukke we had together (I think). I'm at my new place today! We had a glass of local sake at the busi-hotel to pray for a new start👍. The mouthfeel is surprisingly soft and the flavor in the mouth is like custard cream or banana au lait! The texture is also soft on the tongue. I think I may have never tasted such a soft sake! And there is a mushroom-like taste in the aftertaste. There was also a sake from my new job, but I didn't dare to drink it. I'll leave it for the future 😌.
