Another new year has begun 😀
I told my wife that I was going to drink Shinsei today because it's April Fool's Day and she said I was lying... so I really did serve her Shinsei😇!
It's our family's favorite kijo sake, Yonotori no Shokumi 😀.
I love the robust sweetness of kijoshu 😀.
For those who love kijoshu, this is the best sake 😀.
It has the same robustness as the Bodaihashi sake we compared, but I wonder what this sweetness is all about 🤣.
That being said, this week I would like to boldly compare hard-to-find sake 🤣.

Since Godzilla won the Academy Award, we are going to see the IMAX at the nearby Expo Park tomorrow😇.
So I chose Gamera by Kamikame as my drink of choice today 😀.
It's been about 60 years ago, but Gamera was the first monster movie I ever saw 😇.
After that, when I watched Godzilla, I thought about which would be stronger if two of Gamera and Godzilla fought, and I seriously wanted to see a movie where the two fight someday... I didn't know that it would never be possible due to adult reasons 🤣.
Kamikame is definitely a heated sake 😀.
I tasted it at room temperature, but everything in the sake jumped into my mouth at once and I can't describe the taste with chan 🤣.
I heated it all the way up to 55 degrees Celsius, but as the temperature went up, I was able to savor it more slowly and it became a delicious sake 😀.
I then lowered the temperature by 5 degrees and compared the taste.
The fact that you can compare the taste at different temperatures is the beauty of Gamera 😀.
Tomorrow, I'm going to enjoy the Gojira 😇.

Comparison of three prefectures along the east northeast coast of Japan
Finally, in Fukushima prefecture, the last prefecture of the second round, we had a junmai ginjo from Keiraku, which I had a hard time deciding between Tobiroki and Keiraku in the first round 😀 We compared the two, one at room temperature and the other fresh out of the fridge.

However, I prefer the clean and crisp taste of the chilled 寫楽 more 😀.
Both are delicious😇
I compared Tobiroki Jun Dai from Fukushima prefecture, Yamawasei from Miyagi prefecture and Miyakanmei from Miyagi prefecture, and they are all delicious 😀.
It's too much for me to judge 😅.
But from a cosmetic point of view, I think this 寫楽 is the best ❓🤣.

I was going to start a series of Kijoshu with Pon-chan's recommended yellow Yoshida Kurau, but no matter how hard I looked for it, I finally couldn't get the yellow one, so I'm going straight into the Kijoshu drinking comparison 😅.
Today I opened a bottle of Senkyu's Kijoshu 😀.
We have a wide variety of sake to compare: Tengu Mai (which we opened earlier) lukewarm, Rebirth and Itsukashi Pink Nigori 😀.
The Senkou kijoshu was a bit sweet, but still tasty 😀.
I thought Gobashi was pretty sweet too... but the kijoshu was sweeter than that 🤣.
Tomorrow, I think I'll have a bottle of sake in between that goes a bit better with kan 🤣.

Final Nigorinpic for the 2nd Nigorinpic
I love the concept of Sengoku and this sake was chosen for the second Nigorinpik 😀.
We compared the supernatant and the ori-tartered version and both are delicious 😀!
The ori-tagashi is more fruity, but both sakes have a hint of Sentori first 😀.
I think it's because of the assemblage, the various tastes are mixed together in a good way and the core taste of Sengoku brings it all together 😀.
It was a very satisfying sake that was suitable for the end of the Nigorinpik 😀.
Among the sakes we compared, I was surprised to find that the Honkin Nigori was more fruity on the second day of opening 😇.
I didn't know much about it before, but I think Honkin is a very powerful sake 😀.
Now that the Nigorinpic is safely over, I would like to hold a drinking and cheering event tomorrow with today's connection 😀.

Purchased at Imanaka Sake Shop. This is a nama-zake available at Banshu Issen at this time of the year. When the bottle is opened, it makes a nice popping sound. The aroma is not much, but it smells like melon. It is medium-bodied in the mouth. It has the umami of rice. After a little while, the spiciness comes and it goes down your throat in a dry taste. I drank it with motsu nabe (a hot pot of fish and vegetables), but I felt it didn't go well with it. But when I drank it with some salted squid that was on the side, it went very well with it (laugh).
It was delicious again today.

I managed to finish work early for the three-day weekend, so I called up Kaorin and went to the starry sky stand at Namba Parks 😀.
I was told that there were quite a lot of people there yesterday, so I went at 3pm when the event was about to start and was able to enjoy the sake without incident 😀.
We had Tobiroki special junmai, Hakurakusei special junmai, Yokoyama Princess Michiko, and Honorikegetsu pink nigori...all sake is delicious outside ❤️

Usually I'm too nervous to open a bottle, but since I'm in a good mood with sake today, I decided to go ahead and open a bottle of the Shinmasa connection... Shinmasa Akizakura (Cosmos) 😀 We opened a bottle of the Shinmasa first to compare the two.
We compared it with the previously opened Sanchi no Gononozo and Shinsei no Sanchi (Earth) 😀.
The Cosmos has a flowery aroma that smells like a flower when you put your mouth close to the sake 😀.
The taste is not as sake-like as Earth and easy to drink, but the flowery aroma is just amazing 😳.
The taste, of course, was as good as Earth's. ❤️

Purchased at Imanaka Sake Shop. It is a new sake with a gaseous taste and, as is typical of Katanozakura, it has a slightly acidic taste and is clean and dry. I sometimes want to drink this kind of sake. It is perfect for today. I had this sake at a sake event and loved it. It does not disappoint. We had it with everyone after New Year's.

At first I was thinking of Ine Mankai, but it was too sweet after drinking it in summer 😅.
This sake is said to be made with red malted rice, but when I took a sip, it was so delicious and strawberry-like that I thought it might be a strawberry sake 😀.
I think this year is going to be a good year as well, starting off with a delicious red and white sake 😀.

This year, we had a sake red and white party at my wife's parents' house (although we just moved and moved up one floor in the same apartment) while having a New Year's dinner together 😀.
The white sake was Katsuyama's Shoryu Senzui 😀.
I chose this sake because it is the year of the dragon and because it has a lot of pure gold powder dancing on it 😀.
But I didn't think much of it from the jacket, but I was surprised at how fruity and delicious it was 😳!
I'm glad I chose this sake as my new year's white 😀.

It's the second day of the Awamatsuri and it's Christmas time, and today is my theme sake for this year, Tanaka Rokuugo Sparkling... Awamatanaka 😀!
The alcohol content is a bit low at 13 degrees, but it was so robust and delicious that I didn't mind at all 😀.
I could feel the bubbly and fizzy feeling of the bubbles while retaining the taste of the Tanaka Rokuugo that I had been drinking until now 😀.
However, it's a good thing that I emptied it all at once this time without comparing it with other sakes, but if I had left it until tomorrow, it would probably lose its fizzy feeling 😀.

The difference in taste is so small that you have to put the two bottles side by side to tell the difference 😀 They are quintessential siblings 😀.
If I had to choose which one I prefer the UA more, but I think that's just the difference in the schwag I like 😀.

Today's snowman is Amabuki 😀.
Amabuki is a Saga sake famous for its fruity taste. I've had many Saga sake like Mae, Shichida and Nabeshima, but this is my first time to try Amabuki 😀.
It was really fruity and tasty sake, just as the rumors say 😀.
Not that it has anything to do with my impression of the sake, but my wife was taking a lot of pictures of Amabuki's snowman, saying that Amabuki's snowman has the cutest face among all the snowmen she collected this time 😅.

Today's choice is Fuyuhiguma, an entry from Hokkaido.

When I was looking for a sake that matched it, I saw the jacket and bought it immediately 😅.
It was good that I bought it, but I didn't have an idea of what it tasted like, so I waited for the bottle to open.
I was waiting for the first time to open the bottle when bouken, a friend of mine from Sake-no-wa, commented that he had also bought the jacket and was happy with it 😀 I opened the bottle today with peace of mind.
It was a little different from the new sake light nigori I've had so far, not only sweet, but it had a firm sweetness, but it had a good bone structure 😀.
As expected, Sake-no-wa's information is reliable 😀.
I compared it with Tanaka Rokugo, Yokoyama and Kido's new sake, but I can't rate them because they all have their own character and are delicious 😅.
