あおちゃんTasting at Liquor Shop Okayama (3)
Hyakuban, which I drank before and enjoyed?
The moderate bitterness afterward from the lactic acid system was impressive. boukenAo-chan Good evening 🌃
I've been wondering about Hyakuban for a while now since I only see Oka-yama 🤔 Is it not very sweet? あおちゃんGood evening, Mr. Bouken.
It's hard to explain with my stupid tongue, but when I put it in my mouth, it was lactic acid? It was like a yogurt type.
I drank it at the previous tasting, but I wonder if the label color is different. I'll be with you next time, Mr. Okayama! あおちゃんbouken I think it's rather sweet 😰. boukenI wasn't sure if I was going to go this time💦. あおちゃんTasting at Liquor Shop Okayama (2)
Not on the tasting list but special!
A brand I had never seen or heard of before, Fukugen.
It tasted a little different from the Nagano sake I've had before. ポンちゃんAo, thanks for the tasting 😊.
I'm sorry I found out you were with us 😢 You drank a lot more than just the list 😆 and you did a great job with your review 👍✨.
This was a pretty robust Shinshu sake 😳 あおちゃんGood evening, Ponchan.
I didn't realize you were here too 😰 until I left 😭.
This drink really packed a punch 😰🤣😁😁. あおちゃんCorner liquor store within 🚶30 minutes walking distance from my house? Paid tasting 🍶.
I tried a brand I've been wanting to try 😋!
Junmai-yama Unfiltered Nama sake! All in one bottle!
I drank too much of everything else and can't remember what it tasted like. ジェイ&ノビィGood morning, Ao 😃.
It's nice to be able to have a corner bar within walking distance 😊Nice to start with local sake 🍶👍If you enjoy drinking it, it's OK that it was all good 🤗. あおちゃんGood morning Jay & Nobby 😃.
It's a 30 minute walk so just the right distance before drinking 😁 I've never had Katano Sakura before 👌 Everything tastes better in a good atmosphere 😋. あおちゃんOutside drinking!
I participated in a GW lunchtime drinking event at a nearby liquor store! The event's "Kaketate" is 100 Yen for up to 3 drinks 😁 Let's start with this one: ▶️! There are only a few left, so here you go! A little too much of a pattern 😊 Glad to hear it 🍶.
I don't usually buy these but they are delicious 😋. あおちゃんDrinking outside 🎵
Today, I attended the "Japanese sweets and local sake pairing tasting" at a local liquor store in my neighborhood 😦.
I attended the sake tasting at a local sake shop in my neighborhood 😁.
The sake that left the biggest impression on me was the Kenryo!
I had the sake at room temperature, a little cold and heated 😁.
The heated sake was more spicy and tasted better than the cold one!
The cold one tasted like caramel with a whiskey-like color.
I think wagashi and sake go well together, but personally, wagashi is more of a dessert, so it's hard to have it at home.
I personally felt that sweeter sake would go better with the wagashi from Tsuruya Yoshinobu, a long-established Kyoto-based company.
Sake tasting is a great way to drink sake that is usually hard to buy and to enjoy talking about sake with people you have never met before 😁.
Thank you, Mr. Okayama 🙏. ポンちゃんAo, good evening 🦉.
It's really fun to be able to talk about your favorite sake without worrying 😊I love tasting events 😆.
I'm going to enjoy the kenbishi and Japanese sweets tomorrow 😁thank you so much for the reference 🙏. あおちゃんGood evening, Ponchan.
Have a good time 😁.
I felt that sweet sake goes better with wagashi 😁. マルGood morning, Ao, ☀️
Sounds like a fun event👍.
It's hard at home, I totally get it 🤣 It's a pairing that doesn't happen very often 😄.
I just read dancyu yesterday and I'm curious about the black pine kenbishi 🧐. ヤスベェHi Ao 😀
I heard about this event too and really wanted to attend but unfortunately I was working 😢.
Wagashi and Sake...it opens up a whole new world of pairings 😀. あおちゃんMaruchan, good evening 😁.
I wouldn't force myself to drink Japanese sweets at home 😰 seafood after all 😁.
I'm in the mood for dry sake these days 😁 I'm getting a little more mature in my palate now 😁!
I've been on a dry sake kick lately 😁 I'm getting a little more mature 😁. あおちゃんGood evening Mr. Yasbay 😁.
I'm sorry to hear you were working 😭.
Please join us next time!
Pairing with Japanese Sweets Sake to complement Japanese Sweets? Sake to complement Japanese sweets?
It's hard to say 😁. あおちゃんMy friend has the wrong name! I have a comment of 😱 shame l shame 🫣.
Thank you bouken 🙏.
I've been to Oyama-san!
Kyoto is in the midst of bustling activity!
I had a few drinks at the Gion Festival BAR at Liquor Shop Okayama after the Gion Festival and it was the most delicious and most expensive sake.
It was the most expensive and tastiest sake. It has a sake-like taste with a moderate sweetness 👌.
Not a sake you can drink at home due to the price.
It is also possible to drink it at a restaurant 😁👌👌 あおちゃんThank you bouken 😁.
I could drink alcohol that I usually don't buy and drink 😁.
Thank you for telling me about the mistake 😭
I thought it was kinda weird 😰. I was thinking 😰. ポンちゃんGood morning, Ao!
Good job on the Gion Festival 💦💦You must have had a good drink ✨After all your hard work, you must drink this much? 😁 あおちゃんHi Pon 😃
There were a lot of people this year!
There were a lot of foreigners but also a lot of locals 😁 I was immediately dizzy from all the sake on my empty stomach 😁. boukenIt has a strong acidity and is quite sweet and sour. It also has a Bodhi yeast-like flavor. The second half has a strong astringent taste. I don't dislike it, but I think it is a sake for different tastes.
When I bought it, the shopkeeper asked me if it was OK that it was different from regular sake. It's true that it is a little different from normal sake.
I think this liquor store is well known as a special distributor of Hana-yoku, but they also have a wide variety of Shizuoka sake.
They have Kaiun, Eikun, Morimoto, Haginishiki, Takasago, Fujimasa, Hajiro, and other brands that you can't find anywhere else!
Outside of Shizuoka, there are Amanoto, Kahayo, Oze no Yukidoke, Ajigasawa, Shichirobei, Mansaku no Hana, Yukihikozan, Chiyodagura, Ganki, Daito, Hyakuban, Kunitake, Kamikigen, Tokigen, Youho, Furoisen, Kenryo, Biyo, Minami, Yukino Kasa, Hagi no Tsuru, Kawakame, Tsuki no Wa, Hagino Dew, Manjusen, etc. boukenI have the impression that Okura was easier to drink even with the same Edo yeast. あおちゃんToday is the Gion Festival in Kyoto.
I went for a walk to see the floats (the one in the photo is called "Hakodani-boko")!
On the way home, I went to the Gion Matsuri Bar, or Kaku-uchi (corner bar), at the sake shop where I sometimes buy sake. I had a lot of drinks! We drank a lot of different kinds of sake, but I had a bottle of Kamikimoto's sake that won a gold medal at the National New Sake Competition! This price for a bottle 😱 Delicious👌. ポンちゃんGood evening, Ao-chan!
I like it - festivals and sake! I'm sure there will be many tomorrow, so you are right today 👍The pictures are so beautiful✨. あおちゃんPon-chan Good evening... Are you going to the Gion Festival today?
The weather looks fine ☔️.
Please come and enjoy the festival and sake 😁. オカリナGood evening, Ao-chan 😊I went to the Shonai area of Yamagata over the holiday weekend! Kamikigen, that's quite a price! I haven't been to the Gion Festival for about 28 years now, so I'm jealous 😆💕. あおちゃんThanks for your comment, Ocarina 😃.
So you were in Yamagata! I drank Kamikigen because it was the only time I could drink it like this.
Gion Festival 28 years ago! I hope you'll come to Kyoto too! オカリナAo-chan, I would love to go to Kyoto if I could 🧡.
I used to live along the Hankyu Kyoto line and used to go to Kyoto whenever I could 🧡 when I go, please let me know 😂. あおちゃんOcarina, are you along the Hankyu Kyoto line ‼️?
I would love to meet you and your husband! Kyoto Sake brewery Fushimi 🍶. あおちゃんMr. Ocarina.
I'm in Seiin! I used to work near Suita! Aikawa 😁 オカリナAo-chan, I miss Kansai💛.
I only lived there for a little while though 😆 boukenI went in there with the intention of buying Takasago and Furoisen, but they had Hana-yosu! I gave up on Furozumi and bought this one in a hurry.
Liquor Shop Okayama in Kyoto. It's subtly far from any station. I often walk from Omiya station or Takimoto station while visiting Takimoto. I think the other nearest station is Karasuma-Oike station. It might be a good idea to walk from Nijo station to Sanjo-kai shopping street.
The store here, HANA-YOSU, is always on SNS, but it was not posted at the time I bought it. I was surprised because it was my first time, but I guess they have guerrilla sales. I was lucky to be able to buy it because it was only available in one bottle.
For some reason, the store has a lot of Shizuoka sake, including Kaiun, Suginishiki, Haginishiki, Morimoto, and Takasago. They have a lot more than just Shizuoka sake, though.
Omachi and Yamada Nishiki. The aroma is the same as usual, but the taste is a little more refreshing than the usual Hana-yosu. It is sweet but not too sweet. The bitterness is stronger in the latter half. I think the sweetness is more pronounced at near room temperature than at room temperature.
I thought it would be popular with those who don't like hana-yosu, but would be disapproved of by those who like regular hana-yosu. It's definitely delicious, though.
It's a gentle sweet type, not like a gory sweet flavor type.
It feels very sweet after a spicy sake. ポンちゃんGood evening, bouken🌙
I didn't think it was this drink! I'm jealous - I'd definitely buy one if I came across it too 😆. boukenGood evening, Ponchan 😊.
I didn't expect to meet you! After much hesitation, I gave up on Furo Fountain😅. hondaEven bouken-san gets excited when he discovers a hana-yori 🤣.
This doesn't feel like a pina colada, does it? boukenhonda, I get excited when I find a very minor liquor, even if it's a pre-drink 🤗.
I was under the impression that it was pina but restrained for a hana yang bath 😃. boukenIt is not Takasago of Jikin, but Fuji-Takasago Brewery in Shizuoka. It is not the Takasago Brewery of Kokushi Musou either😅.
It doesn't say it, but it is said to be a draft sake. I've noticed that many of the sake breweries here don't even mention that the sake is unpasteurized, only that it needs to be refrigerated...
I was expecting a gaseous feeling because it is directly pumped, but it is calm. It has a sweet and spicy flavor with a touch of tanginess at the end. The word "soft, soft, smooth" fits perfectly with the description.
Out of all the Takasago's I've had so far, this one tastes the most like Shizuoka sake.
I felt like it would go well with the Italian peach flavor of Bourbon's Fitcine gummies🤣.
I went there with the intention of buying this sake and Furoizumi, but I gave up on Furoizumi because I didn't expect to find this sake in the line! ポンちゃんbouken, good morning ☀️.
I'd love to try it 🤣 "goes well with Italian peach flavor" has a strong impact on me 😄
I'm looking forward to some drinks I didn't expect 🎵 boukenHello Ponchan 😉.
I thought it might be a food alcohol type drink because it's not very assertive, but I didn't think it would go well with gummy bears 😋. samuGood evening, bouken. I think that most of the sake in my hometown is basically good or bad. I think it's similar to Shizuoka people. boukenGood evening, samu 😃.
Takasago is a relatively favorite brand in Shizuoka. I have the impression that Shizuoka is a serious sake in general, and I am curious about Fuji Nishiki, which you often drink, because I have not seen it here 🧐. boukenI think you got a zorro 😯. samuIf you are within driving distance, please take a drive. The brewery has a good infection control system, so please come and try their sake by weight! boukenI went to buy it after seeing the information about the arrival of the liquor store in Kyoto. I was just in Kyoto at the right time, so I was able to buy it in plenty of time, but I've had a few near misses here and couldn't buy it.
It was my first time to try Hachitanshiki. It has a gorgeous aroma and a beautiful sweetness. I think it's one of the most elegant Hanayoi I've ever had. 森本Morimoto 直の衆らのアンフィルタード 仕込壱号槽搾り特別純米原酒生酒無濾過槽しぼり boukenThe purchase condition for Hanayo-Yoku was to purchase sake over 1700 yen, but the sake I wanted was either under 1700 yen or over 2000 yen, so I chose this one.
The rice is from Honefuji.
It is dry and has a smoky impression. It has a strong impression of acidity. There is no freshness at all. Would it be better to warm it up? boukenI heard that this is the smallest brewery in Shizuoka. In fact, I've never seen it outside of this liquor store. boukenWhen I drink it again, it is spicy, but I can feel a trace of sweetness. But overall, it has a unique atmosphere. I think it should be heated rather than cold. boukenIt is easier to drink at room temperature. The pungency is less pronounced than with cold sake. boukenHigashiyama Shuzo is an affiliated company of Kizakura and it is sold at the direct sales of Kizakura. It has almost no aroma, but it's surprisingly fruity in the mouth. It's not super sweet, but it has a little bit of a pinaphone nuance to it. It's a bargain. boukenAccording to the manufacturer's code, the bottling is outsourced to Kizakura. boukenThe taste changes fast and changes a lot. The unfiltered unpasteurized sake, which is only available at the direct sales counter of Kizakura, also changed its taste quickly. boukenA little gassy and gorgeous. Almost no bitterness and easy to drink. It is like a grape or white wine. I gave up because there was a little time lag after the release, but I'm glad I managed to buy it at the end of the year. boukenI expected it to be pretty dry leaning, but I'm not sure it is. A little sweetness in the mouth too. The aftertaste is spicy. It's a little fruity. There is a sense of gas. There is a cute cat on the label😸 boukenIt's noticeably spicier when you're off the gas, but other than that, it didn't change much. boukenThere were Junmai and Junmai Ginjo, so I chose this one. It's not gorgeous, but it's juicy. The Junmai Nama that I tasted at another shop might have been more suitable for me. It's not listed, but the liquor store's website says it's unfiltered raw sake. boukenI'd say it's a little hard to drink. boukenIt's a local Hyogo sake, but it's my first time drinking it. It is not gorgeous, but it is sweet and delicious. It has a freshness. I think it's similar to something, but I can't remember. They also have a nama-nigori (raw nigori) version, so I think I'll buy that next time. boukenThere's a hint of gas in the air. boukenI bought it in Kyoto, a liquor that you don't see very often, even in Hyogo, but I bought it in Kyoto koge2I just found out that you went out of business about 2 years ago: ...... boukenGood morning koge2 ☀☀☀.
I was so impressed that I wanted to try the other specs, but this was the first and last one 😢. 森本H.森本 俺っち今年のドブロクっぽい仕立てEX純米原酒生酒にごり酒 boukenI found this at a liquor store and bought it on impulse. Excuse me, but I've never seen this before and I didn't know this brewer at all. The spiciness comes first and the rice flavor is strong. The aroma is banana-like and a little powdery. Some chestnut-like notes. It's a blend of Junmai Daiginjo, Junmai Ginjo and Junmai. boukenAlmost no sweetness, more like dryness. boukenEight year old unpasteurized sake. The label is very retro. I don't know if it's brewed in Shiga or Kobe, but they must have brewed it in Kobe because it says "factory". It's sour like white koji and has a faint aroma of aging. It's very clear that the aroma of maturation comes out clearly after 8 years. It's a unique and interesting sake. bouken8 years ago is 2012.... I used to drink a little but I wasn't interested in sake at the time. I was only drinking shochu or awamori boukenIf Zuisho Black Pine Swordfish were raw, would it taste like this? I thought.
