The richness of flavor in the mouth is exceptional.
You feel a balance of sweetness and spiciness, and the aftertaste lingers well. The aroma that passes through the nose is good.
Blamed for arabashiri.
I had it with Sanma. It is dry and delicious!
It has a lot of curds, but when it gets to room temperature, the curds are removed and that's great!
Sunday we came back home from the raging ‼️ and we were glad that tomorrow was our day off 😅, so we chose this as our second bottle of Ehime sake for the party 🤗.
I had seen Kotori-san drink it before and I was wondering if this would be the next Ehime sake 🤔, but Jay got it at Yoshikawa Sake Shop in Utsunomiya, which was his first visit👍.
It's a bottle blended from the [Arabashiri] and [Yakusame] portions squeezed in the spring. I'm not sure if it's a good idea or not, but I'm sure it's a good idea.
I'll make love to you!
I don't really notice the aroma.
I don't think I'll be able to taste the aroma, but when I take a sip, it has a very unique taste 😌.
It's refreshing but also complex, and when drunk alone it has a peculiar taste...but when I paired it with horse sashimi, which was my entrée for the day, I was like 😳we were together in a previous life💥.
When I mixed in some ori and drank it, I could taste the sweetness and it became easier to drink 😙It's 17 degrees, but it's still very easy to drink! But it turned into another sake on the way.
And here's my daughter's BF story😊.
The day after our first meeting at the izakaya, he visited his father's apartment in Ichikawa where we were also staying!
His father, who has been on a roll lately, greeted him in English and said, "Hey, you speak good English! He was laughing so hard that we all laughed and he understood 🤣.
Good evening, Jay & Nobby 😀
I always choose Ishizuchi as my sake of choice from Ehime, and I haven't tried Kawakame yet, but it looks interesting😇.
What was even more interesting was your father's reaction...I'm glad he didn't tell you that his English is not good 🤣.
Jay & Nobby, good evening 😄You've got another peculiar sake 🍶The horse sashimi explodes with flavor 💥The pairing is a great success 👌He understood your father's good English 👏He's amazing too👏I can picture the scene and he looks so happy 🥰.
Jay & Nobby-san Ehime sake! I had never had it yet. It's good! I also like the fact that it goes well with horse sashimi!
And your father's response 😄 is awesome and funny! This makes the place even more relaxed, doesn't it?
Good evening, Jay & Nobby.
I'm curious about Ehime as I've only received Ishizuchi too ⤴️ I like the idea of a sake that goes well with your food 🎵.
Your father's tsukkomi is the best ✨ everyone has a great smile 😊.
Good evening, Jay & Nobby 😆.
I'm sure you must be very happy to see us, even though you've been in a rage⁉🥰.
I just received your comment about the horse sashimi, and I see that you also ate it 🤣.
It goes perfectly with sake⁉🐴.
Good evening, Jay & Nobby 😃.
We just got our first Ehime sake just the other day too, brings back memories of how delicious it was unexpectedly 🙇♂️ 😅.
The middle portion was in the belly of everyone in the brewery or something 😅.
Nice harmony, father 👍.
Good evening Dr. Jay & Dr. Nobby 🤔.
Where did the middleman go 🤔?
I'm curious😂.
Horse Sashimi is the best ‼️ I love Aizu Horse Sashimi with spicy miso 😍I drool when I think about it 🤤.
Nice of your father 😊👍
Hi Jay & Nobby😃!
I see you went to Yoshikawa ❕I just picked up 2 bottles here the other day 🤭Please let me know about your horse sashimi restaurant next time 🤤Your father's sense of word choice is also great 🤣J has taken over!
Good evening, Yasbay 😃.
It was our first time to see it too 😅It was indeed an interesting one 🤗I thought it was a real bokeh 😁I was aiming for a word 😆I was smart 👍.
Good evening, HinaHanaMama 😃.
I think the best way to name a peculiar sake 🍶 is horse sashimi 😁 my father's words were translated by my daughter and he took it for granted 😆.
Good evening, Sashu 😃.
I see you haven't had Ehime sake 🍶😳You can buy it in the city of Utsunomiya the day after tomorrow🤗I felt the greatness of my father😅.
Good evening, ma-ki-chan 😃.
I got it because it's from Ehime 🤗I'm glad I got it because it's a good sake 😅I can confirm that the blurriness is genetic 😆.
Good evening shinsaku3😃.
Ehime sake 🍶 does it too 🤗If you drink only the middle, you are a brewer of a considerable group of drinkers 😆Harmony is important 😊.
Good evening Mr. Muro 😃.
We have submitted a request today to search for the middleman: ‼️ Please look for Mr. Muro too 🫡.
We too are big fans of red meat horse sashimi with spicy miso 😋.
Good evening, Kotori 😃.
Yes, I've never heard of it before! It was my first time 🤗There is a butcher shop that sells horse meat, but lately I buy it at Benimaru 😋You're right, my word sense might have taken over 😁.
Hi Pon 😃.
It's a marriage without the middle 😆And it's true that the chemistry between alcohol, food and people is very important ‼️I always want to have a smile ☺️ 😌.
Mr. Jay & Mrs. Nobby
Good evening.
I think peculiar drinks and peculiar snacks go well together 👍I don't think you can conquer poison with poison, but I guess like minds go together 🥰.
Hey kozo, it's me 😃.
I conquer peculiar sake with horse sashimi: ‼️
No, horse sashimi and sake 🍶 are a great combination 😄 there's no reason why they can't go together 🤗.
Yamahai Junmai Nakakumi
Unfiltered raw sake
Sake rice: 100% Omachi
Rice polishing: 70%.
Alcohol: 18% abv.
Low-polished Omachi, Yamahai, raw without filtration! High alcohol content
Probably the first sake brewery I've ever had the pleasure of drinking, and I wonder if they are concerned about the classic brewing method.
I can feel the spirit of the brewer!
The full-bodied, robust, heavy mouthfeel.
I like it this way, and it goes well with sakadaki!
The old-fashioned label caught my attention.
Ehime's local sake.
The taste is unique to the Yamahai method of sake making
Firm acidity
without any peculiarities.
The deliciousness of the rice oozes out
well cut
It is a good dry sake.
The aroma is fresh.
Fruity sweetness and acidity in the mouth
It reminds me of strawberry.
The finish is dry with just the right amount of umami.
80% polished rice of Aizan
This is a good thing.
Junmai Ginjo🍶.
Kochi-Ehime Railway trip 🚃Day 3
A little matured. Slightly mellow. Creamy. Sweetness. According to my wife, it has more acidity than the other three we had. The fried okoze made it easy to drink 😋 The octopus tempura, vinegared shrimp, and pickled small fish were also delicious 😆 We made a reservation and were taken to a private room on the second floor, where we could go home without worrying about people around us.
We made a reservation and were put in a private room on the second floor so we could spend time without worrying about our surroundings, but when we talked to the owner at the counter on the way home, he was quite friendly and I really wish we could have a drink at the counter next time while talking to him 😅The taste is outstanding, but that is my one regret.
Aji Tanita @ Matsuyama 20240518
This is a limited-quantity sake bottled only from the middle kumi, which has the most stable sake quality.
The aroma is fragrant and gorgeous, as is typical of Kawakame, and the umami shows the balance of sweetness and acidity, as well as the quality of the sake.
It is fragrant and yet has a good sharpness, making it a good sake to drink with food.
Cool retro label in the style of a big fishing flag 🤗.
It is a light sake with a deep, full-bodied, sharp, and slightly dry taste. It has a round and slightly sweet mouthfeel at first taste, a light matured feeling, slight apricot, cocoa, and rich umami...all intertwined with a fine acidity that lingers on the tongue.
I felt it was a refined taste for a junmai sake.
Hi Jay & Nobby 🐥.
Yoshikawa Sake Shop is cozy, but I like the polite service of the old man and young master ☺️ surprisingly hole-in-the-wall existence 🤭Every time I visit, they ask, "Did you drink Miyazaki's sake?" They are very attentive 🥹.
It is soft on the palate, with subtle but soft dried fruit flavors of raisins, coffee, and cocoa. It has a slightly spicy, clean finish with a calm and elegant sweet flavor.
