Summer Vacation ☀6th at Otaru's famous restaurant, Nigirigunraisen.
A series of Mie sake. This is the first time I've had this crop. They make it to go with seafood from Ise-Shima. Stable Saku, good no matter what you drink 😋.
Summer Vacation ☀ 5th at Otaru's famous restaurant, Nigirigunraisen.
Mie no Tabikatsu. If you don't know Tabika, you can't read it. A friend of mine is into Tamitsu recently and recommends it to me, and it is indeed delicious. Well-balanced sake🎵
Summer Vacation ☀ 4th at Otaru's famous restaurant, Nigirigunraisen.
I have an image of kafuda sake as gorgeous and sweet, but this one is a bit different type from what I've had so far as it's called "light fresh". This is a good salty sake for a mid-meal drink 😃.
Summer Vacation ☀ 3rd at Otaru's famous restaurant, Nigirigunraisen.
After the first two Hokkaido sakes, we went to Kido in Wakayama. It's gorgeous and very Junmai Daiginjo. Delicious 😆.
The presentation of the Akinatai fish was beautiful. I had heard on the news that the price would be lower this year due to a good catch, but this one was priced at 2,000 yen per bottle 😲.
Summer Vacation ☀ 2nd at Otaru's famous restaurant, Nigirigunraisen.
The restaurant is under the supervision of the Hokkaido Sushi Association's youth group, and they make it to go well with sushi. It has a unique flavor and a little bit peculiar. If you ask me if it goes well with sushi, it's not bad, but maybe not exactly right. ❓️🤔
Summer Vacation ☀ 1st one at Otaru's famous restaurant, Nigirigunraisen.
The sake is named after the restaurant and made by Tanaka Sake Brewery near the restaurant 🍶 I didn't see the back label so I don't know the specs, but it's well-balanced and tasty.
It's still in its infancy, but it's ridiculously good!
Summer Vacation ☀5 at Sapporo's Famous Sushi Restaurant Arima
The last is Minami. My favorite way to drink is to finish with a dry sake. I have an image that Kochi's sake is hard-core, but I didn't know that Minami has such a pink character!
The taste was not as dry as I expected. Delicious though 😆.
Summer Vacation ☀4 at Sapporo's Famous Sushi Restaurant Arima
Next is the super major class Jikin. This is the first time I've had Asahi. Maybe the Asahi rice itself is new to me 🤔.
I thought Jikin was not too sweet compared to Jyushiyo and it was easy to match with meals, but this is even more like that. It is a good sake.
Summer Vacation ☀ 3rd at Sapporo's famous Sushi Restaurant Arima
The last two Hokkaido sakes were the last. As a traveler, I wish they would have more local sake.
So, I went for the major national sake, Kuroryu. It is made from Gohyakumangoku, a sake produced in Fukui Prefecture. It is one of the most popular sake in the Kuroryu lineup. How can it not be good?
Summer Vacation ☀ Second at Sapporo's famous Sushi Restaurant Arima
The first Niseko was also ginpu and this one is also ginpu. The first Niseko was also a Ginpu, but this one is also a Ginpu. No, there was also Chitose-Tsuru...and that's about it. I don't have enough training! 🤣
This sake is also delicious. This is the best type of sake for a meal.
Summer Vacation ☀1st at Sapporo's famous Sushi Restaurant Arima
I was not allowed to drink Hokkaido sake at Sushinokura the day before yesterday, so I had Niseko.
It has a nice flavor with a clean mouthfeel. Not something you'll find in Tokyo, but a good sake 🎵.
Summer Vacation☀ Sushi no Kura in Sapporo🍣 6🍶.
Sawaya Matsumoto. This was the last one, but they didn't serve any Hokkaido sake until the end. I'm sure there are good sake in Hokkaido, but... ^^; Are they not dealing with tourists who want to drink local sake? 🤔 Well, they were all delicious, so this is good. ☺️
Summer Vacation☀ Sushi no Kura in Sapporo🍣 5th one 🍶.
The fifth sake I didn't know about today is ‼️ Higashitsuru from Saga. From this restaurant's previous choices, I guess it's a major one I just don't know about ❓️🤔.
It's pretty tasty. I'll keep that in mind 🎵
Summer Vacation ☀Sushi no Kura in Sapporo 🍣 4 🍶.
The first is the Cherry Blossom. The Sushi restaurant is not interested in Hokkaido. The Sushi Restaurant is not interested in Hokkaido's Sake ❓️🤣 It is the right choice, but we are in Sapporo.... I'm not interested in Hokkaido.
I guess you can make a request, but even so, they don't have any Hokkaido sake. ‼️
Summer Vacation☀ Sushi no Kura in Sapporo🍣 3rd 🍶.
Suzuka no Saku. Another famous classic sake. It's delicious after all.
The knife used to decorate the squid is beautiful. All the snacks were minimally seasoned to let you enjoy the taste of the ingredients, but the nigiri was coated with boiled fish slices.
Summer Vacation☀ Sushi no Kura in Sapporo🍣 1st 🍶.
Machida Sake Brewery in Gunma. It has a gorgeous ginjo aroma and sweetness. A delicious one that seems to be popular with everyone.
Plenty of tachi. They say that customers come from all over Japan to eat this. No, that's an exaggeration 🤣It's just plain delicious.
Shinsei's Sansho (Earth). It was the first time for me to drink a bottle carefully. It is made from Rikuu No. 132, a sake rice that is not often heard of. It has acidity typical of Shinmasa, but it is a little too sweet in balance with the sweetness of the sake.
The Colors series is easier to obtain than the No. 6 series, but it is definitely a hard-to-find sake. Especially the Tangerine and Ash are not sold in liquor stores... 😢.
Sake (2) that I took to my parents' house when I went home for Obon.
A bottle of zodiac sign that I couldn't finish drinking at New Year's in the height of summer. ‼️🤣
The bottle has a silly label of a child dragon (kotatsu) in a kotatsu (Japanese kotatsu). The label is "kotatsu", a child dragon. The Hato Masamune zodiac sign bottle is a pun type.
My uncle who said Sansho is not sake recognized this one as sake!
Sake I brought to my parents' house when I went home for Obon (1)
Yamadanishiki from the production area. It is brewed with rice grown in the Kikusui River basin, using the same yeast, wooden vats, no fertilizers, and no pesticides as the first brewing.
As usual, it was full of shuwa shuwa. I think it has more gas pressure than any other San-do sake I have ever tasted.
When I gave it to my uncle, who is in his mid-80s, he said, "This is not sake. That's what he would say... lol.
