My daughter bought this set for me at VISON, a commercial resort in Mie. Junmai, junmai ginjo, and junmai daiginjo were all delicious, but I prefer junmai.
As soon as the black cover was removed, the lid flew up to the ceiling! It was well chilled so there was no spillage, but my wife was surprised and said, "That's a dangerous guy!"
It tasted as refreshing as I had expected, and it was going to be empty before I could enjoy the change.
Last year, I purchased a bottle by mail order. This year, I was able to obtain a four-pack at a liquor store. It was more gassy and therefore fresher and tastier!
I have been wanting to try Koei Kiku for a long time. My favorite liquor store has become a dealer! Thank you! The acidity, sweetness, and bitterness are very well balanced and delicious.
I bought it again this season just from memory of how good it tasted. I don't remember it being this gassy! People are forgetful creatures...again, let's not forget how delicious it is!
This bottle was given to me by my daughter as a souvenir from Toyama around the time of the Bon Festival. It is easy to drink and has a modest flavor. He is a nice guy.
I bought it at a roadside station where I stopped on a drive to the sea in August. We had it with Heshiko, which we also got. It was delicious, with a sweet, robust flavor but with a nice aftertaste.
This sparkling wine has a strong white wine taste. However, the sweetness of the nigori flavor is well combined with the taste of the sparkling wine, and it is delicious.
Purchased in Yoshino, Nara at the end of May. Yoshino is famous for its cherry blossoms, but I like the fresh green of early summer. Yoshino Brewery is more often heard of for Hanaboe, but a liquor store near Zaodo had this brand. The color of the sake was quite yellowish, so I thought it might have a strong sake taste, but it was a refreshing and easy to drink sake.
I drank it in January but haven't been able to post it, fear of slacking off! Anyway, it was delicious, I would definitely get this sake again next season.
Purchased on a trip to Shizuoka last year. I thought I'd like to drink it hot in winter, but the label said it was recommended to drink it cold! I was surprised. The brewery is very particular. I had it cold and lukewarm. It tasted like a ginjo-shu.
