This sparkling wine has a strong white wine taste. However, the sweetness of the nigori flavor is well combined with the taste of the sparkling wine, and it is delicious.
Purchased in Yoshino, Nara at the end of May. Yoshino is famous for its cherry blossoms, but I like the fresh green of early summer. Yoshino Brewery is more often heard of for Hanaboe, but a liquor store near Zaodo had this brand. The color of the sake was quite yellowish, so I thought it might have a strong sake taste, but it was a refreshing and easy to drink sake.
I drank it in January but haven't been able to post it, fear of slacking off! Anyway, it was delicious, I would definitely get this sake again next season.
Purchased on a trip to Shizuoka last year. I thought I'd like to drink it hot in winter, but the label said it was recommended to drink it cold! I was surprised. The brewery is very particular. I had it cold and lukewarm. It tasted like a ginjo-shu.
Influenced by Sake-no-Wawa's post, I really wanted to try it and bought sake by mail order for the first time. I'm having a nice New Year's Eve, thanks!
Which sake to buy in the places you visit? This time, in Shizuoka...I decided on Kaiun. And after drinking it, my choice was right! Mellow, refreshing, with just the right amount of umami! Right in the middle of my favorites.
It has a sake-like alcohol taste, but it has a nice sharpness that makes it a good mid-meal sake. By the way, I'm on a trip to Izu right now, looking forward to buying some Shizuoka sake on the way home!
It's summer arabashiri, but I finished drinking it at the end of September. It was a summer arabashiri, but I finished drinking it at the end of September, which is good because there are still many hot days. It was a refreshing and tasty summer sake.
This is a doburoku from a private residence in Tango, Kyoto. I bought it at a roadside station during a summer drive; it was bottled in July and is piquant and delicious.
The crowdfunding return I received in February, I had to put it to bed to get to this point. It has a robust flavor, yet blends naturally with meals. A bona fide sake.
