Purchased at Kyokuho Sake Brewery near my parents' house when I returned to Hiroshima. It is a new brand name, Toriwa. The label is also innovative. Purchased at the traveling SAKE event at Hankyu Department Store. When I was not interested in sake in the past, I saw many signs for Shichisyo on Route 19, but I never thought I would find it here. I was attracted by the beautiful label of this sake made by Ozawa Sake Brewery in Ome City, Tokyo. It is not spicy at all, but it is not sweet either. This is a fire-aged special junmai sake from the Shikano Shuzo brewery in Kaga, Ishikawa Prefecture. It has a good balance of umami and bitterness, and is perfect as a food sake, as it seems to go with everything. Try it heated as well.

At a certain supermarket, an 1800 ml bottle was on sale for 2200 yen, so I had to buy it. The rice used for the sake was Ginotome from Ninohe, the brewery's hometown. It tasted sweet in the mouth, but had a mellow, dry taste. It was a delicious food sake.

I received this sake from Abekan Sake Brewery in Shiogama City, Miyagi Prefecture, as a souvenir from Sendai. It was an easy-to-drink sake with a nice daiginjo-style aroma and a refreshing, slightly dry taste.
I drank it at a bar last year and enjoyed it so much that I bought a bottle this year. It has a mild flavor and sweetness that is typical of hiyaoroshi (cold sake). It was delicious again this year.
