Sake made by Honda Shoten in Himeji City, Hyogo Prefecture. It is made from 100% Hyogo-Nishiki sake rice from Hyogo Prefecture. It was a deliciously dry sake with a refreshing taste and the umami of rice.
My daughter gave me this sake from the Kamidaya Sake Brewery in Matsumoto City, Nagano Prefecture, as a Kamikochi souvenir. It is called "Kappa no Yume" and is sold exclusively at Hotel Shirakaba-so. It was a refreshing, slightly dry, easy-drinking sake.

The sake is apparently made for export, but why in a Japanese supermarket? It was a delicious sake with a strong acidity and a good rice flavor. I felt special to be able to drink such a sake at such a low price.

Sake from the Hekiun Brewery of the Kamikawa Taisetsu Sake Brewery in Hokkaido. It has a fresh, crisp taste, good acidity, well-balanced sweetness, spiciness, and bitterness. The price is a little high, but it is a delicious sake.
Purchased at Kyokuho Sake Brewery near my parents' house when I returned to Hiroshima. It is a new brand name, Toriwa. The label is also innovative. It tastes completely different from the previous Asahiho sake. It has a strong acidity, sweet and sour, like a white wine, and can be drunk more and more as a stand-alone sake.
