Purchased at the traveling SAKE event at Hankyu Department Store. When I was not interested in sake in the past, I saw many signs for Shichisyo on Route 19, but I never thought I would find it here. The dark, sweet, umami flavor is layered with bitterness and spiciness, making it a very tasty sake that can be drunk on its own.

It was a mellow, dry sake from a brewery in Sakura City, Chiba Prefecture. I have had junmai nama sake before, but the honjozo was much drier. This brewery seems to be basically mellow.
Sake from the Sakuryu Sake Brewery in Sasebo City, Nagasaki Prefecture; sake rice is locally grown Isehikari. I had never seen it before, so I bought it. This is a fire-aged special junmai sake from the Shikano Shuzo brewery in Kaga, Ishikawa Prefecture. It has a good balance of umami and bitterness, and is perfect as a food sake, as it seems to go with everything. Try it heated as well.
We pray that the brewery will be able to resume sake production as soon as possible. It is a dry sake with a strong rice flavor and a crisp, dry taste.
Mr. Karp-kun. Nice to meet you & good evening! The news reports are all about Noto, but Himi City was also quite damaged, and I will look for Takazawa Sake Brewery and hope that they will resume sake production as soon as possible.

At a certain supermarket, an 1800 ml bottle was on sale for 2200 yen, so I had to buy it. The rice used for the sake was Ginotome from Ninohe, the brewery's hometown. It tasted sweet in the mouth, but had a mellow, dry taste. It was a delicious food sake.
Nagataki Sake Brewery is located in Hiroyo-machi, Nara Prefecture. Recently, the brewery has also been producing local beer, which is freshly brewed and available at the Nagataki Brew Park next to the brewery. This hiyaoroshi has a mellow, but not too rich, flavor, and is a bit dry at the end.

I drank it at a bar last year and enjoyed it so much that I bought a bottle this year. It has a mild flavor and sweetness that is typical of hiyaoroshi (cold sake). It was delicious again this year.
A small sake brewery located in Shobara City in northern Hiroshima Prefecture. Buy it at the directly-managed store next door. Sake made the old-fashioned way, pressed in a sack. Slightly dry with plenty of rice flavor. It is not a modern, urban style sake, but it is a delicious food sake.

I found this at Yamaya. It is made by Kobori Sake Brewery, which brews Manzairaku, but there was no information about it when I looked for it on the Internet. I wondered if it was a Yamaya original. It was fresh, sweet, flavorful, and a little gaseous, refreshing, and delicious.
