Ponshukan Nagaoka Eki Store Drinking Guile #14. Ponshu-kan Nagaoka Station Store recommended drink. Since I have to go home tomorrow, I chose a drink recommended by Ponchu-kan Nagaoka Station. It might be almost an obsession when it comes this far.

Ponshukan Nagaoka Ekimae drinking grui 9 cups. Next up is Yahiko, ranked 8th last month. I drank a glass of Yahiko, wondering if it was popular in the regular sake genre. I wondered why it was so popular in the "normal sake" category, and had another glass. It was so refreshingly dry and tasty that I thought it might be a normal sake scam. If this is a normal sake, I have high expectations for junmai sake as well.

Ponshukan Nagaoka Station Store drinking groupie 8th cup. I wanted to try a strong dry sake, so I chose Kashiwa Dew. I thought it would be okay because I am used to drinking Sanzenmori, but I didn't feel it was that spicy despite its high alcohol content. It did have a cheese-like sourness, but it was not strong. I would have understood if I had drunk it first. I still have some more sake to drink, so I bought some coins.

Ponshukan Nagaoka Station Store drinking groupie 7 cups. The most popular sake at Sake-no-wa is Kamo Nishiki. Ranked 6th last month. Two coins required. Tastes like melon as described. The good taste makes me want to go for a second cup, but there is still more sake (which is not wrong in a way), so I'm heading to the next one.

Ponshukan Nagaoka Eki Store drinking groupie #6. Echino Kagera, which ranked 5th last month. This is a brand that can be found at many liquor stores in the Nagaoka area. It is a cup that is enjoyable from the first sip to the lingering aftertaste. I seriously wondered if I could handle it, as I sought my next drink.

Ponshukan Nagaoka Station Store drinking gruel 2 cups. One of the standard Niigata sake, Kozen Josui. The aroma is banana-like. The mouthfeel is refreshing. As the name suggests, it is easy to drink as if you were drinking water. It is not for drinking alone, but rather for drinking with food.

We stayed at a hotel in Nagaoka City and went to the long-awaited Ponshukan Nagaoka Station. We started with Yamakoshi, the most popular sake last month. In addition to being easy to drink, this sake has the sweetness of rice. What should we try next?

The 27th sake brewery in Gifu Prefecture. One of the seven breweries in Takayama City, Funasaka Shuzo's main brand. Purchased at a supermarket in Takayama City. The aroma is nutty and savory. On the palate, the sweetness comes first, followed by a dry aftertaste.

The 26th sake brewery in Gifu Prefecture. One of the main brands of Heiwananishiki Sake Brewery in Kawabe-cho, Kamo-gun. Three brands were purchased at the brewery. The sake on the right side of the three images. The aroma is a banana-type ginjo aroma. It is an easy-drinking sake with little acidity, emphasizing the sweetness of the rice.

The 25th sake brewery in Gifu Prefecture. This is the main brand of Yamada Shoten, a limited partnership located in Yaotsu-cho, Kamo-gun. This was purchased at a roadside station in Kani City. The aroma is a weak ginjo aroma. There is no acidity, and the sweetness of the rice spreads in a refreshing mouthfeel. Recently, we also visited a brewery in Yaotsu-cho.

Purchased at a brewery in Yaotsu-cho. The aroma is strong, with a hint of sourness. In the supernatant, the sourness gives way to astringency and then to umami, but when mixed with the muddy water, the sourness disappears and the sake becomes easy to drink.

The 24th sake brewery in Gifu Prefecture. The main brand of Kaba Sake Brewery in Furukawa, Hida City. Purchased at the brewery. The ginjo aroma is strong, and the lees appear to be floating and hazy. In the mouth, there is a bitter taste from the shwashiness, and then the umami and sweetness spread out. The aftertaste is clean and dry, so you can't help but drink more and more.

The 23rd sake brewery in Gifu Prefecture. Otsuka Sake Brewery in Ikeda-cho, Ibi-gun. This one was purchased at a roadside station in Ono-cho. 100% Gifu-produced Hatsumoroi is used. Polishing ratio 60%. Alcohol content 17%. Sake degree +5. Fruity aroma. The sweetness of rice spreads in the mouth. Otsuka Shuzo's main brand is Takejaku, so we would like to try that as well.
