This is my first Shichida. It has a freshness that is typical of nama-shu, but also has a calm taste. This time it was Yamada-Nishiki, but it seems that there are different sake rice varieties under the same brand name, so it would be good to taste the difference in sake rice.
It has a unique aroma and might go well with cheese or smoked food. There is a slight carbonation and the drink is slightly sweet and refreshing. Delicious!
Refreshing, yet delicious. It is slightly effervescent. It is refreshing and tasty without any accompaniments, but it is also surprisingly well-balanced when paired with more assertive dishes.
Until now, when I heard the word "dry" in Japanese sake, I had no idea what it meant, but when I drank this sake, I realized, "This is what dry sake tastes like! I now understand.
I think it is good with dishes with strong flavors, such as salted fish.
It is very refreshing and just right for summer.
I paired it with sushi and it was a great match.
I bought a bottle and it seems like it will run out in no time.
It is dry and perfect for a mid-meal drink. It has a bit of weight, so we recommend dishes that won't defeat it. Nevertheless, it is well-balanced and can be enjoyed all-around!
Drinking it as it is, it seemed to have a strong flavor, but when drunk during a meal, it is moderate and rather understated, which is strange.
It is a well-balanced sake with just the right amount of acidity, yet not too assertive with food.
Bright sweetness and refreshing acidity. There is a slight gassy feeling, and it goes down easy. It has a slightly stronger presence than the special junmai Nabeshima, which may have a lingering taste.
