7.5/10 (room temperature) The flavor spreads through the entire cup in a light, refreshing mouthfeel. The aftertaste is sharp and clean. Good cost performance.
7.0/10 The moment it hits the palate, it seems light but the rich umami spreads out, but the aftertaste is not as strong or harsh as it could be. The trademark "Hourei" was well chosen.
The aroma is very much like that of sake, so if you are not a fan of sake, this may not be for you. The taste is rough and powerful, but it is also very smooth. 8.5/10. 9.0 would be good considering the cost.
A rare sake brewed with black malted rice. It is mellow and has a nice sharp aftertaste, but a little sweetness remains. The aroma does not stand up that well...7.5/10
While it has a gorgeous daiginjo-like aroma, this sake has a solid structure. The aftertaste is a bit bitter, so it is more suitable as a food sake than as a stand-alone drink. 6.5/10
For a junmai sake, it has little miscellaneous taste and no sake odor. Plenty of umami. A good food sake that goes well with both delicate and strong flavored foods. 6.5/10
