I just received the sake I squeezed at Houraisen Sake Rabo! When I drank it, it was clearly fresh and had a bitter taste that I've never felt in any sake I've ever had. I wonder if it will change after a while.
Toyobai, which was recommended to me and for which I searched for over a year, was found at Tomiya Sake Shop in Nagoya and acquired. It is sweet and tasty with a slightly thick texture. I would like to try the Ginjo series!
Nadeshiko no Hana Nama Mazake (flower yeast brewed Nadeshiko no Hana). The 3rd prize that the wife drew at the sake brewery's local sake gacha. She exchanged it for her own float strap (5th prize). It has a summery sake feel.
I saw a new series of Houraisen and bought it. For some reason, it was slightly discounted. I heard that they keep the alcohol content as low as wine (14%) with the intention of exporting to overseas. I served it at room temperature for today. It went down very well!
Preparing sake for the end of the year (2)
I bought a bottle of Kenryo, which I've had my eye on for a while, and prepared for the end of the year. A Happy New Year to all...
Sake prepared for the end of the year at home, part 1
When I went to Shibata Brewery to buy Amazake (sweet sake), I bought a similarly tall sake to commemorate the opening of the Kura Cafe. I also got a sake tasting cup.
It was my first Senkou, and after hesitating between the modern one and the classic one, I decided to go for the classic one. It was quite heavy. It looks good even when heated.
La Maison Yamadanishiki
I had never seen Jiheiji before, but I found it at Seijo Ishii and bought it. The price is reasonable and the taste is much lighter.
Junmai Ginjo Futari Dewa Sanzu 55 Nama Genshu Usu Nigori. We bought it at the Maruishi February New Sake Sales Event. It's very bubbly. It's not a good analogy, but it gives you a refreshing feeling like a carbonated sports drink.
