There were no photos, so I had to re-up them.
I finally got to drink the sake I bought in the fall, I quite like the bitter taste! I thought it was Kumamoto sake because it said it was made from Kumamoto rice, but it was Akita sake💦w!
At first sip, I thought it might be too refreshing, but the sake has a good balance with a strong aftertaste of alcohol and bitterness. It's the kind of sake you can't stop drinking.
One of the waiters at a sake bar told me that he got hooked on sake after drinking Kameizumi. Since then, I have been curious about it. It is fresh and gorgeous, but has a nice bitter aftertaste. It's very good. It exceeded my expectations.
I had enjoyed Hyakujuro before, and was wondering why they only had 1800ml at the store, when I found it. I didn't notice it at first because it wasn't labeled with a Kabuki face. As the name "Chokkara" suggests, it has a sweet but bitter aftertaste and is dry. I like the Kabuki face label, but I also like this one with kanji characters and wisteria flowers.
A crisp and refreshing sake. The brewery is located in Nagaoka, Niigata. I've been to the fireworks display and it was a wonderful place, somewhere I want to go again before I die.
