2025.120th. New product from my favorite Sengoku, Ura-Senko-Hanabi! I think they named it "裏" (裏) because the sparkler is a collaboration with UA. However, this back side is totally different from the front side, which is called "Senko-hanabi". The sweetness is an assemblage of the two, and it is very elegant! I think I prefer this to the sparkler on the front. Of course, the sweetness is citrusy sweetness that is typical of Senkou, like honey lemon. I would like to have it again next year! Thank you very much for your hospitality!

2025.119th. The original version of Kangiku's Ken Aizan! It's really an exquisite one! The name of the place is called "Ken-Aizan" after the mountain, which is difficult to grow only in Hyogo Prefecture, but it was successfully grown at the foot of Mt. It is a very rare rice, and only Kurakuraku and Kangiku are allowed to use it. We were able to get such a valuable sake two years in a row. The taste is rich and mellow, like Aizan, with a fruity taste like a grape. It has a lingering taste that raises the level of happiness. The richness is further enhanced by the fact that it is a blend of two different varieties. The slight fizziness was also excellent and superb. I am looking forward to another one next year! Thank you very much for the food!

2025.118th. This year, Mikumari has released a nigori sake version. Kai from SakeLab recommends it, and it's so good you can't afford not to buy it! Not just for beginners, it is introduced alongside sakémari and others, and I think it would be a satisfying sake for those who drink sake often. I like Hououmida's Mikumari, which is not too sweet, yet still smooth and has a slight schwashiness to it, but this Cloudy version is more advanced and silky as well. It is so lively that you would think it was a new wine, and it goes well with the grape-like sweetness that is typical of Mikmari. It is a taste that will make you like Mikumari even more, and I hope they bring it out again next year. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

2025.117th. Hibi, which we have not had in a while, is a Hozu that was provided by Hana-no-Ka Brewery in Sanriku. Hinode Matsumoto of Hibi Brewing has been taking great care of rice since his days at Matsumoto Sake Brewery, and I have the impression that he is a person who brings out the full potential of the rice. This sake also expressed the characteristics of Hozu well. From the time of its origins, Hozu has had a wild flavor, neither sweet nor classical, with a distinctive umami taste, which was also evident in the Nichinichi. The Hohomasu rice had a mineral taste due to the influence of Mt. Aso, but the Nichinichi had a direct wild flavor. It is not unpleasant at all, but has a umami that is different from dry sake, as if the sweetness was taken from a sweet sake. Although it is a dry sake, it seems to have something in common with Hinakami's Aki-agari and Shichibonjari. I like all Hinohi sakes, but this one is my personal favorite and I would like to have it again. Thank you for the sake.

2025.116th. This is the second bottle of UA Kuwagata bubbly this year. It is getting much cooler, so we had the second bottle. I was going to have it at the beginning and the end of summer. After all, the impression of the taste changes when it gets hotter and when it gets cooler. It is the same kind of citrusy lemon squash bubbly, but at the beginning of summer it tastes refreshing, and at the end of summer it reminds me of the hot summer. When I first tasted it, I had the impression that it tasted better in the mouth than in the taste, but now that I've had it a little longer, I can really taste the flavor, and it is as good as I expected. I am looking forward to next year's UA Kuwagata. I wonder what kind of taste it will have. Thank you very much for your kindness!

2025.115th. This is the second bottle of Imadeya's hanpukai sake, Houou Mita. I guess it is not that much different in taste from the one we had in July. It is an assemblage, so the good points are combined and the negative points are eliminated. It is a very cohesive sake with no corners and a beautiful sweet taste. It is not a very distinctive sake, but it is easy to drink. It was a treat.

2025.114th. Hiyayoroshi Omachi, a new product from Omine Shuzo. It is honestly very delicious. It has Omine's typical sweet taste, with the mellow sweetness that only Omachi can offer, and the depth that only hiyaoroshi can offer. Although Omine's Omachi is characterized by its strong flavor, it has a moderate taste and is very easy to drink. There are too many Omine-san's sake that I would like to try, but I will try moderation lol. I would like to have it again. Thank you very much for the sake.

2025.113th. Hirakou Sake Brewery's Hitakami, which I have been a big fan of since the Sakelabo 10th anniversary event. This is the autumn harvest. It has the image of a clean, dry sake that goes well with fish, but this one has a mellow flavor like the collaboration sake with Tomita Sake Brewery that we had at the event. I have the impression that the aging process has mellowed the flavor of this sake, but I like it. It is not sweet, but just mild enough to give a good sense of umami, which is my favorite flavor. I love fruity sake like Senkou, Shinmasa, Koeikiku, and Kangiku, but I also love dry, mellow sake like this. I would like to have this kind of sake again. Thank you for the sake.

2025.112th. Senkohana, which we received again this year, and I still like Senkou-san lol. It is a summer sake that is shipped at the end of summer, and this citrusy taste is very good for you in the lingering summer heat. It tastes similar to Sengoku Retro, with a strong lime flavor, yet it has a calm mouthfeel, so it sinks right in. Kabutomushi has a strong acidity and a refreshing taste, and you can enjoy the difference in taste. This year, there is also a "Ura-Senko-Hanabi," so I am looking forward to that as well. Thank you very much for the dinner.

2025.111th. First time in a long time in Jiran. This time it's W.Adams, whose name I was curious about. It is a fruity sake which is in fashion these days, but it is a sake with lactobacilli like Calpis. I have had many lactobacillus-feeling sakes, but this one is the most lactobacillus-feeling one I have ever tasted. Perhaps, it gives the impression of being a sake that people who are not good at it do not like. I do not know if this year's W.Adams has this kind of characteristic, but personally I would like to pick it up next year. Thanks for the treat.

2025.110th. This is the second bottle of this year's FOMALHAUT IMPERIAL by Abe-san. I like this sake the best when it comes to Abe-san, so I buy it if there is any left lol. Lately, I've been drinking sweet sake. I liked the last Kinkabutomushi, but I think I prefer this one. Next time I will have a sake that does not feature sweetness. Thank you very much for your kindness.

2025.109th. Gold Kabutomushi, one of Sengoku's summer sakes, is exclusive to Imadeya. We were lucky to have it again this year. Last year it was a kijoshu, but this year it was not described as such, so I was looking forward to seeing what kind of sake it would be, but it was just as sweet as last year. It tasted like honey lemon, and I thought it was a kijoshu, lol. I looked it up and found out that it is an assemblage of Organic Naturals W and Sengoku Classic I style, so no wonder it is sweet lol Organic Naturals W is a Kijoshu and lol. Personally, I have the impression that it is a little too sweet, and I might prefer the regular Kabutomushi in the Kabutomushi series. Still, it is very tasty and I would be happy to have the opportunity to have it again next year. Thanks for the treat.

2025.108th. The second bottle of Takihama from the Imadeya hanpukai. Like the last time, it is a classic sake with a strong umami flavor. It's not sweet, so you don't get tired of drinking it, and it goes down very well. It may be difficult for beginners, but it was great to compare different genres of sake: sweet, effervescent, and classic. Thank you very much for the drink.

2025.107th. I opened a bottle because I wanted to have a refreshing drink after a series of sweet drinks. I recently bought it online, but the shipment was in February this year, so I guess it was unsold. I think so. It is a very popular sake, so I was surprised that it remained unsold. The yeast was still alive even after half a year, and it took a long time to open the bottle. I think that Sengoku is the best company that can produce such a bubbly taste while having a deep and rich flavor. I think the next time I will have Sanshiki will be in the next season, and I am looking forward to the next one. Thank you very much for the sake.

2025.106th. This is the second bottle of Chiyomitsu I received from Imadeya's hanpukai. It is still sweet lol. The sake I got just before was a kijoshu, but I think it is just as sweet or even sweeter than a junmai sake lol. It is an amazing sake. I wonder how they make it. It's hard to find it in Kansai, but if I see it, I want to buy it! Thanks for the treat!

2025.105th. Yoshida Kurau, which I have not had in a long time. Since it is a noble sake, it has a dense flavor, but perhaps it is characteristic of Ishikawa-mon sake, it is light on the palate and has a calm umami flavor. It tastes fruity like a banana. It is still my favorite sake. I would like to have it again. Thank you for the sake.

2025.104th. Matsuyama Shuzo's Jyuseki is one of my top 3 favorite sake from Kyoto. It has a classic, old-fashioned flavor, and I like that you can really taste the umami of the rice. The summer limited edition sake is made with a yeast that produces malic acid easily, so you can also taste some summery fruitiness. I had it at the Asano Sake Shop fair and compared the spring and fall versions and liked it the best, so I bought it for drinking at home and it was still delicious. I would like to buy it again. Thank you very much for the sake.

2025.103rd. This is the second bottle of Imadeya's distribution Q/A. I felt it was more astringent than the last time and thought this was a sibushibu. It is a delicious sake with a fruity flavor, but I personally might have preferred it to the last one. I like Q/A and will try to open the bottle earlier next time. Thanks for the treat.

2025.102nd. This is the first Ippaku Suisei I've had at home. I had always been curious about this sake, but I had seen it at a liquor store near my house and had also had it at an outing, so it had been low on my list of priorities, lol. I was impressed once again by the high quality of this sake. Akita is really a beautiful sake kingdom! It has a sharpness and acidity, but it also has a fruity taste that reminds me of citrus fruits. I was told that it is only shipped at this time of the year, so I was able to find a good sake. I would like to have ICHIHAKUSUISEI again. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

2025.101th. We had a craft saké Hanakaze that I had been curious about for a while. It is a rice and hop craft saké that tastes like a shandy gaff. The unique bitterness from the hops marries with the taste of rice, and I felt it was a new genre of sake. It was recommended as an introductory sake for those who have never had sake before, but I think it is a good entry point to the fruity Shinmasa, Senkou, Koeikiku, and Kangiku. I think it is a good entry point to the fruity sake of Shinmasa, Senkou, Koeigiku, and Kangiku, but it is a little different from the sweet sake of Tasake and Toyo Bijin. Of course, I recommend this sake for beginners. I would like to try Inabe and Agave's sake again. Thank you for the sake.
