Yesterday, a local friend of mine came to visit and we opened a nice bottle of sake for the occasion 😆. It has a beautiful, fruity rice aroma, is delicious and moderately sweet, with a hint of sourness and bitterness that gives it a depth of flavor and a clean, crisp finish.... You said it tastes like grapefruit and Pocari, and when I drank it, it did indeed taste like a Spodrilla type? But it seemed like Pocari, not Aquarius 😆 lol. It's sweet and smooth at first, and then in the middle, it's like a grapefruit-like sourness and a good bitterness coming forward? It's ✨ I would gulp this down and drink it by the throat! The pb from a sake tavern called Sake Lab Tokyo, which is also active on YouTube, said it's good to let it sit for a bit to get a gassy feeling before drinking, so I'll let the other bottle sit for a bit before comparing 😆.

This was one of the surprises...! From the label, I imagined a classical sake, but when I drank it, I found a refreshing lactic acidity, similar to Sengoku's Snowball, with a fresh sweet acidity and a firm gassy taste. It is a very modern sake with a beautiful sweetness and full-bodied flavor with little weight of orikari. This year's Snowball was really tasty and impressive, but it was not to be outdone...! LOL! Sake is a very interesting thing 😆✨.

Second one for the New Year's Eve and New Year's Day is Murayu ✨ I buried it in snow and let it cool down to a kink lol The aroma is gentle, with a hint of sweetness. The mouthfeel is beautiful, soft, and clear, and the taste is elegant and gently sweet, but it is supported by a good acidity and is not dull. This unique sweetness, which comes slowly from the clean, clean sake quality, is also very good ✨. The new classic is soooo good 😆. It has a light nigori-like lactobacillus-type richness and a nice aroma, a bit 🍌 like muscat, and the mouthfeel is soft with just the right amount of effervescence. The taste is like 🍇 on a rich 🍈 while being underpinned by a citrus-like acidity. I think there is a sweetness to it. The acidity gradually comes to the fore, so it is sweet and sour and refreshing to the end 😆. It's like this various fruits are condensed? I can't get enough of the flavor 🤤. I'm looking forward to a fire-roasted classic of this one ✨.

Today, we are really luxuriously opening and comparing the renewed Sentori Retro and Classic, and the Classic Solid before the switch...! I'll start with the Retro, but before that, I want to say that the classic SENKYO before the changeover is still very tasty 😆. I'm going to miss it so much when I think it's going to be gone.... I'll start with the Retro, but first of all, the bottle smells like wood when you open it. I can smell the woody aroma from the bottle. The taste is clearly sweet and sour, but you can also enjoy a deep sweetness and umami ✨. The sweetness at the beginning is especially beautiful and mellow, and the 🍌-like 🍌 flavor that comes through to the back of the bottle along with the acidity is also a nice touch! I really wanted to drink Daishinshu again, so I bought it and it's still delicious ✨. It has a nice aroma of apple and pear with a fresh sweetness, and the mouthfeel is soft with a little bit of thickening. I think there is also a slight thickening in the mouthfeel. The second bottle is a good one that I bought as recommended by the liquor store owner...lol I opened it with high expectations because of the rave reviews, but also with a little apprehension because of the good price, but it turned out to be even better than I had hoped ✨. We are coming to Yura Onsen in Yamagata Prefecture for an overnight stay starting today✨. On the way, we stopped by a local sake shop, and the owner was so passionate about sake that you could tell he really likes sake, so he taught us a lot about it and we bought two different brands of Hakuro Tarusyu 😆 lol The first is a Miyamanishiki junmai ginjo, which is the brewery's signature sake and is said to be their "eternal idol." This is a sake where you can really enjoy the rice and water! It has a beautiful sweet rice aroma and is really soft on the palate. The softness allows you to taste the beautiful sweetness and umami of the rice, but the overall impression is very transparent.
