A bottle of Juichi-Masamune by Morito Shuzo, a local sake brewery in the area. You have to go directly to the brewery to buy this bottle, which makes it a little special! The bottle was naked when I opened it, so I transplanted the label to take a picture 🤫. The brewer told us that it is not flashy, but it goes well with all kinds of food. It was exactly as he said, a well-balanced sake that would complement the food. ☺️ Tempura of ayu fish as a side dish

We decided to try some dry sake, so the third bottle was a blue bottle from Boshimaya. It was 17% alcohol and very dry, so I thought it would be good on the rocks!

The second bottle was a local Tochigi Prefecture sake with a slightly different flavor. Aikoku" is one of the three major varieties of sake cultivated in the Meiji era (1868-1912) and brewed using the traditional sake yeast. Everyone was surprised at how different it tasted, so I think that alone was a good thing. ☺️

I didn't have time to take pictures, so I laid out the empty bottles the next day 🤫. Four of the trainees (college and graduate students) had never eaten, or rather seen, ayu fish, so we had ayu fish party: 🐟️ The menu was grilled ayu fish, tempura and fried ayu fish. We also had a sake missionary activity at the same time. We started with this sweet, refreshing and easy to drink sake!

On this day, we dug potatoes in the morning and grilled ayu fish in the afternoon. About 30 ayu fish were given away for free to a family that loves ayu fish! Now, what about the first "Suitama"? It's delicious with a great mouthfeel! It has a strong flavor, but it's very refreshing! We still have some Hana Yuu in stock, so we are looking forward to comparing the two!

I prefer the Jungin from Oumachi, but it is also delicious! I've been grilling last year's ayu (sweetfish) because this year's fishing season will start in a month. I'm also grilling rainbow trout with salt as a snack!

Refreshing aroma and refreshingly crisp! It was the kind of sake you would want to chill and drink in the summer 🍶. It was empty before it got too hot... I enjoyed it with bonito sashimi, fried horse mackerel and smoked cheese. I bought it to try because it said "big fried horse mackerel", but it was a big battered fried horse mackerel 😞.

For the first time in about 20 years, I processed catfish and made tempura. Surprisingly, it had no smell or habit and was a little different from the image I had in the past 🤔. In a good sense, anyone can eat it, in a bad sense, it has no individuality and no flavor. It is a pairing failure as it is very much defeated by the deliciousness of the sake. LOL! The fried sweetfish is stable 🆗.
