This sake was tasted along with the Junmai Ginjo I posted earlier. We were there when the store opened on the first day of tasting and sales, so all the sakes were unsealed, so we were able to sample them in fresh condition. I recommend going on Wednesday when the store opens 😆. It is Rokumaru with 60% rice polishing ratio. It is the same as Shinomine. It has more richness and umami than Junmai Ginjo. It is suitable for warming up.

Otona no Sake Gakuin Trip (2) I went to Misasa Onsen with my usual drinking buddies. The title of the trip was "Tottori no saké zenbu saké" (Drinking all the sake in Tottori). Yonago Station After purchasing a copy of the San'in Meishu Meguri Inaba Hen, we boarded a train bound for Kurayoshi on the San'in Honsen Line. The second bottle was Inabatsuru. It is a 50% polished sake, so it goes down smoothly. It has a subtle umami taste with a hint of sourness. There are 10 breweries left!

Purchased at a store that sells local products of Okayama. I thought I was reading "kyokusei", but I was wrong 💦. A little peculiar reading😅. The rice is akebono. The top aroma is slightly fruity. A little sweet and refreshing. I thought it would be more of a classic sake, but it is easy to drink. Well, is it a fruity sake that is closer to the classic style?

Second stop on the Takayama sake brewery tour. We visited Funasaka Sake Brewery. As usual, the tasting machine took care of us. I chose a junmai ginjo that seemed to suit me from the description. It was described as sweet, but I got the impression that it was medium sweet with no fruity taste. I wonder if it would be a sweet sake in this brewery's lineup? It tasted crisp.

It's been a while since I had my first Suiroku Miyamanishiki sake. The aroma is not that great, but when you put it in your mouth you think it's sweet and refreshing. I opened it when I was drunk 😅. Freshly brewed with Miyamanishiki from Nagano Prefecture. I'm not sure what to make of it, but I'm sure it'll be good. The color is milky white. The smell is mild, with a hint of flowers. The taste is fruity, but not too sweet. It has a nice umami taste with a slight sourness and bitterness in the aftertaste. You can feel the alcohol quite a bit, it's 17 degrees, so it's thick. It is easy to drink on the rocks with ice. I think it tastes better if you drink it this way. It has a refreshing, dry, gassy flavor that pairs well with 🍖 meat dishes and Chinese and other oily dishes 😋~.

I went to a liquor store near Niigata Station and asked the clerk, "Do you have any Yamama?" The clerk replied cheerfully, "We are out of Yamama, but we have Koshinoshiratori now. What is it? Koshino Jakucho...?" The clerk explained that the sake is made in the same tanks as Yamama, and that the middle sake is Yamama, while the aggressive and rough-run sake is Koshino-Shiratori.
