Macho shocked me before...this time, I didn't expect much since it was fire-aged and not a draft 🍶...but when I opened the bottle: .... Pssh! Wow...the aroma of rich Yamadanishiki rice with 80% polished rice...the mouthfeel is sweet but thick... This is a very rich wine! The flavor is also very macho...definitely overpriced...this is delicious...I want to drink it again...it's not a trendy sake right now, but it's good...this is good...

I had been wanting to drink this for a long time and got a bottle of "Ousai Macho" from Makino Shuzo.... I'm also interested in the other macho series...I'm sipping it with cod roe tempura and black shrimp tempura...I think it goes well with strong-flavored snacks and dishes. I couldn't go anywhere during the second half of GW because I had to stay at home. So on the last day, I will just enjoy the feeling of traveling with this cup of sake. Yamada-Nishiki 40% polished rice More modern label than the Nihonshin I drank at home 😁. It's gorgeous, but I felt it's more sake-like... The label is also modern and written in English, so I wonder if it's for export?

This one, like the Ko-Imari, was purchased when I was with Yoohee-san. The rice is Matsuyama Mitsui. It has a melon-like taste and a strong bitter taste like bitter melon.
