To procure alcohol for the year-end and New Year's holidays. We confirmed the sake store's recommendation of one nigori (nigori) and one clear, easy-to-drink sake, both of which are not normally available. For the clear one, Hakurei Sake Brewery in Miyazu, Kyoto recommended Hakurei Hatsushushibori. I'm looking forward to it!

We went for a drive to Sasayama and happened to find Homenaru-san's brewery on Route 176 selling hiyaoroshi (grated sake) on the spot. My wife, who doesn't drive, tasted a couple of the hiyaoroshi and couldn't narrow it down to just one, so we took home a Homenari Junmai hiyaoroshi and a Ginjo hiyaoroshi. Looking forward to drinking them!

Sasayama local sake purchased on a drive in Sasayama. Today was not supposed to be a sake trip, but it turned out to be a very fulfilling trip. Homenaru is my favorite sake, served with saba-zushi (mackerel sushi). Of course, I also bought a sake bottle with the brewer's name on it.

Touring Tottori, Shimane, and Innoshima by car. I wanted to visit a sake brewery in Izumo, but there was no time, so I bought some local sake at Yamazaki Sake Shop near Izumo-taisha Shrine. We enjoyed a glass of sake at our hotel in Innoshima. Yachi Senpoko, the sacred sake of Izumo-taisha Shrine.

Today, the family went on a tour of breweries in Ogaki, Gifu. Takeuchi Shuzo for Mino Benibai, Miwa Shuzo for Shirakawa-go, and Watanabe Shuzo Brewery for Shirayukihime. We tasted and bought several bottles. Since we were traveling on a Seishun 18 ticket, it was difficult to buy bottles that needed to be refrigerated. At Takeuchi Shuzo, we bought Mino Benibai and TAKE0.

The last stop on the Yamaden 1-day pass was a paid tasting at Taiyo Sake Brewery in Eigashima. The feeling of drinking in a sake brewery was nice. I was in a good mood after drinking three kinds of sake with five shaku (five shaku). The food was delicious. I would like to come back again, including for the atmosphere.

At Genmyouan, a Ryuriki old sake brewery near Himeji Station, compare a summer-only summer junmai, rice whispering, and four types of old sake. I took home small bottles of the summer junmai and koshu. I enjoyed blending the old sake with a dropper. Old sake goes well with sweet snacks like dried fruits.

I tasted the gold medal-winning daiginjo and found it extremely easy to drink. Since I was touring sake breweries with my Sanyo 1-day pass, I bought a bottle of Rairaku Yamadanishiki Junmai Sake. The brand name in the photo was covered by the plate...
