My daughter came home from her lodgings last night, so we had a family dinner of Takaraiya Godaime, a souvenir from her Kyushu trip. We drank it half warmed and half cold. The sake was heated to lukewarm using a Senbero maker. It's strange how the same sake can be completely different. The wife likes it warmed up.
The liquor store's recommendation for the nigori one is active junmai nigori sake from Izumihashi Shuzo. Sake from Kanagawa. The wife liked this one and brought it home. The label is quite cute.
To procure alcohol for the year-end and New Year's holidays. We confirmed the sake store's recommendation of one nigori (nigori) and one clear, easy-to-drink sake, both of which are not normally available. For the clear one, Hakurei Sake Brewery in Miyazu, Kyoto recommended Hakurei Hatsushushibori. I'm looking forward to it!
We went for a drive to Sasayama and happened to find Homenaru-san's brewery on Route 176 selling hiyaoroshi (grated sake) on the spot. My wife, who doesn't drive, tasted a couple of the hiyaoroshi and couldn't narrow it down to just one, so we took home a Homenari Junmai hiyaoroshi and a Ginjo hiyaoroshi. Looking forward to drinking them!
Today, we went to Nada Gogo Stamp Rally and visited Hamafukutsuru, Sakura Masamune, Kikumasamune, and Hakutsuru. We took home Hamafukutsuru's Shigome San-no and Kikumasamune's Sesession. At dinner, we enjoyed the sake. We also took home a one-gou oinokuchi, which is a small cup of sake.
Today, we drove to Yumezaki. We had Kakiage Soba at Yume-no-Soba, which is operated by Yamasa Kamaboko. We went to Tsubosaka Sake Brewery. We took home a bottle of unfiltered, unfiltered, unfiltered, unfiltered, unfiltered, unfiltered, unfiltered, unfiltered, unfiltered sake for today's dinner. I also brought back a bottle of Yukihikoyama hiyayoroshi as a souvenir for my daughter. I also brought a sake cup with me.
Sasayama local sake purchased on a drive in Sasayama. Today was not supposed to be a sake trip, but it turned out to be a very fulfilling trip. Homenaru is my favorite sake, served with saba-zushi (mackerel sushi). Of course, I also bought a sake bottle with the brewer's name on it.
We went for a drive to Sasayama and happened to find Homenaru-san's brewery along Route 176, where they were selling hiyaoroshi (freshly grated sake). My wife, who does not drive, tasted the wines and found it hard to narrow it down to just one, so we took home a bottle of Homenari Junmai and a bottle of Ginjo hiyaoroshi. Looking forward to drinking them!
Enjoying Sakushu Musashi today, which was purchased in Tsuyama on a Seishun 18 Ticket trip at the end of August. Together with Shugetsu and Houmei purchased today in Tanba Sasayama.
Driving in Tanba Sasayama. We happened to pass by the Karibaichi Sake Brewery, so of course we stopped by. I enjoyed it with some mackerel sushi I bought along the way. I have recently started collecting sake cups with the brewer's name on them.
Touring Tottori, Shimane, and Innoshima by car. I wanted to visit a sake brewery in Izumo, but there was no time, so I bought some local sake at Yamazaki Sake Shop near Izumo-taisha Shrine. We enjoyed a glass of sake at our hotel in Innoshima. Yachi Senpoko, the sacred sake of Izumo-taisha Shrine.
Today, the family went on a tour of breweries in Ogaki, Gifu. Takeuchi Shuzo for Mino Benibai, Miwa Shuzo for Shirakawa-go, and Watanabe Shuzo Brewery for Shirayukihime. We tasted and bought several bottles. Since we were traveling on a Seishun 18 ticket, it was difficult to buy bottles that needed to be refrigerated. At Takeuchi Shuzo, we bought Mino Benibai and TAKE0.
Watanabe Sake Brewery. Since there was only one person at the store who was not at home, I could not taste the sake, so I bought Asa-chan doburoku and Shirayukihime on a hunch. I was given a glass of water from Gifu-Ogaki as a complimentary drink.
Shirakawa-go, sent by cool delivery yesterday from Miwa Sake Brewery, arrives. The opening ceremony is scheduled for tomorrow evening. Looking forward to it.
The last stop on the Yamaden 1-day pass was a paid tasting at Taiyo Sake Brewery in Eigashima. The feeling of drinking in a sake brewery was nice. I was in a good mood after drinking three kinds of sake with five shaku (five shaku). The food was delicious. I would like to come back again, including for the atmosphere.
At Genmyouan, a Ryuriki old sake brewery near Himeji Station, compare a summer-only summer junmai, rice whispering, and four types of old sake. I took home small bottles of the summer junmai and koshu. I enjoyed blending the old sake with a dropper. Old sake goes well with sweet snacks like dried fruits.
I tasted the gold medal-winning daiginjo and found it extremely easy to drink. Since I was touring sake breweries with my Sanyo 1-day pass, I bought a bottle of Rairaku Yamadanishiki Junmai Sake. The brand name in the photo was covered by the plate...
