I was curious and bought it at Ito-Yokado. It says "chilled" but of course I heated it up. By the way, the first sip at room temperature has a refreshing sourness. The sweetness and the aroma of the rice malt are softer when heated to lukewarm. Very easy to drink and gentle!

Because it is brewed with strong rice, which is not considered to be of the highest quality, Therefore, it cannot claim to be a junmai sake. I thought that strong rice was only grown in Tottori, but it seems that a small amount of strong rice is also grown in Tochigi, but only Sugita Sake Brewery handles it. I first tried it cold (room temperature), and since it was freshly opened, it was still a bit stiff. It was obviously the type that would be delicious heated up. I will try heating it up after a while.

My first Kikusui. It has a rather high alcohol content of 19 degrees, but it does not have much of an alcoholic feel, and has the fresh aroma of a draft sake. It has a rather sweet taste. Next time, I would like to try heating it up.

Tasted at room temperature right after opening the bottle! It has a great, gutsy flavor! It has no unpleasant alcohol taste at all, and it seems to be easy to drink despite its alcohol content. I have a feeling it will be great when heated!

Brewed in 2018 Nice amber color after 5 years of aging. Acidity is an amazing 9.6 degrees! Sour from the smell before drinking. Tried it at room temperature first... Mmmm, grapefruit! And it tastes like old grapefruit! No alcohol taste at all, easy to drink. It's hard to believe that this drink is made from rice... Can't imagine what it would be like if it were heated up... Added on 11/17/2023 I tried heating it up! There is almost no smell, and the taste is really strange with sourness & bitterness & astringency like grapefruit to yuzu like yuzu & kabosu like kabosu. There is no sense of alcohol at all. It's good, but it's hard to pair it with food 🤔.
