January 2023 at Yuma in Maebashi. I am ashamed to admit that I had never heard of this sake brewery, but the food was delicious. I highly recommend Yume for its confidence in serving fish despite being in a landlocked prefecture, its great selection of delicious sake from the northern Kanto region, and its affordable prices and atmosphere.

Obtained from a familiar liquor store. Freshness and softness of the unpasteurized sake. The aftertaste is melon-like. It feels like spring. I like junmai sake, but it is sweet, so 300 is perfect for sipping before dinner.

My uncle is a regular and even got one for my niece! I will drink it carefully during the year-end and New Year's holidays.

It is not sake, but my partner bought it for me as a souvenir when I kept asking for a tokkuri. It is Tobe ware from Ehime. I liked it because of the nice swallow pattern.

Returned home and had dinner with my sister and her couple. It was a fun evening with a nice guy. I looked up a brand of sake that I had never heard of, even though it was local, and found that it was made by a brewery in Handa that had revived its own production after a 21-year absence. The overall taste was dry but mellow, reminiscent of a melon, with a refreshing aftertaste. It was a fish-centric izakaya, so it went very well in terms of pairing. Add to favorites💯. The restaurant is "Sora" in Kanayama, Nagoya. We decided to revisit this one as well.

I got it when I went to Hakuba for my hobby of mountain climbing. Lawson near Hakuba Happo bus terminal. Masumi summer sake. It has a strong sweetness with a freshness typical of nama-shu, but the aftertaste is bitter. I personally think the bitterness is a little too strong to drink by itself. It is good with strong flavored snacks. Nagano is really good for sake. I love it, and there are many mountains I love.

Purchased at Kyoto Station Shinkansen premises. While I was shopping for sake, I was allowed to try a sample at a special place, and it was delicious. It is a dry junmai sake made from 100% "Kyo-no-kiraki" rice produced in Kyoto, and is fruity and completely refreshing. A perfect drink for summer dishes. We immediately enjoyed it with pickles we bought as a souvenir.

After watching the Gion Festival parade, we went to Owariya to have hamo tempura seiro. We had a bottle of Tanzan Shuzo's original sake, which was also available at Owariya. It is a crisp, dry sake that goes well with soba gaki.

After a three-year absence, we went to our family's annual event, the Gion Festival. To accompany the Shinkansen, I bought a bottle of Saku at Hasegawa Sake Shop in Tokyo Station. I don't usually drink ginjo-shu, but Saku has a nice flair. It is perfect for a special occasion. I made sure the sake was PCR-negative before I went to the capital, just to be safe.

My uncle gave this to me as a birthday gift. The smallest sake brewery in Japan, it seems he saw that I was so pleased with the sake I drank when I returned home at the end of the year because it was so delicious that he arranged for it to be from the same brewery. For tonight's enjoyment!

I received this sake courtesy of the owner of a mountain lodge while staying at the lodge as part of my mountain climbing hobby. It is a Nagano sake with a strong rice flavor and good water taste. It seems to go well with Suwa sake recently.

I went to a sake event in Nagano held over the weekend at Shibuya Tokyu Plaza, a heavenly event with a 60-minute tasting of over 30 different kinds of sake and wine, and bought 6 bottles that I particularly liked (half of them were shipped to my partner's house). I bought 6 bottles (half of them were shipped to my partner's house) that I particularly liked, especially this Reijin, a brand I had never heard of but which I really liked because of its unique mellowness, breadth and modesty, just like its name.

Toyobai from Hirosaki, which I had heard was delicious. We bought it at Takahara Sake Shop in Koenji. The aroma and taste are well balanced with a distinctive rice flavor and acidity. This is delicious.

At a secret location in Tokyo. It is crisp yet mild, and you can feel the goodness of the water, which is typical of Niigata. A drink that goes well with delicious early-summer snacks.

Wadaya in Oimachi. I went to pick up the GW limited edition Sengoku x Wadaya collaboration directly pumped unfiltered unpasteurized sake that I had reserved, and found Sengoku's Natur (my favorite) and Hououmida's never-seen-before plum wine, and charged... I think I will be drinking at home for a while. I made a stamp card so they can give me priority access to rare sake.

On the way back from my hobby of mountain climbing. FURIN KAZAN in front of Matsumoto Station. I love this place because I can drink rare local sake and eat delicious Shinshu meishi at a reasonable price. I had my favorite Daisetsuken's very rare (only a few stores in the prefecture carry it) Yama Laugh. It's a drink that makes you feel the deliciousness of the water, and is refreshing, gorgeous, and soft, perfect for this season of fresh greenery.
