It has a sweetness like green apples and a nigori (nigori is a type of rice wine) flavor. It was a delicious spring sake 🌸🍶.

One of my favorite sake brewers, Gunma Izumi, had their first bottles available. It has a melon-like sweetness with a clean rice flavor in the aftertaste. It is as delicious as ever.

Toriizumi in Otemachi and Kanda. I have been coming to this restaurant since its Toranomon days before the relocation. The price is 5,000 yen for all-you-can-drink sake (some not included). The food is also very good and I highly recommend the a la carte. The 14th station (6 people) is our local Ni Usagi 🐇.

Went to Toyama-kan in Nihonbashi. Three different kinds of sake were served for 700 yen. The kombujime was also delicious. Drink and support!

I went to Higashi-Iwase, Toyama during my summer vacation. We went to Saseki, which is owned by Masuda Shuzo, the brewer of Manjusen. There are always about 100 varieties of Manjusen available for drinking. Highly recommended. (However, the authentic daiginjo is the best tasting, rather than the wine-made one.)

We went to Okamoto-ya Eikichi Sake Brewery in Bakurocho because our favorite Daisetsuken-san was going to have an event in Tokyo. It was the most fun. I also had my picture taken with the executive director.

I went to Shinkoiwa keyma using my friend's reservation slot. I learned a lot about many genres of drinks that I usually don't drink.

Shinshu Osakemura in Shinbashi. It is near my workplace and I really recommend it because you can drink sake from all over Nagano at unbeatable prices. The sake changes almost monthly, so it is always fun to try something different. The 125th Anniversary Daiginjo from Daisetsuken was delicious.

Traveled to Fukuoka and Saga to buy Karatsu Pottery. At a store I wandered into. The aroma is sweet with a mildness that is typical of junmai sake, which I love, and yet it has a refreshing green apple-like aroma. It also has a light acidity that I like. I now have another favorite sake.

I forgot to take a picture so I borrowed it from their website. It is clean and neat and goes well with food. Pair it with dumplings.

This sake brewery is dedicated to rice cultivation with rice grown in Hokkaido. It has a mild aroma and the delicious taste of rice and water, while the mouthfeel is clean and does not interfere with the food. I paired it with raw oysters from Hyogo and it was fantastic.

The taste was sweet but refreshing and did not interfere with the fried food (deep fried Utsubo, a well-known specialty in Japan). It was delicious.

At Kagurazaka, where you can stand and drink Kochi sake. It has the acidity and melon-like fruitiness typical of nama-shu, followed by the sweetness of rice, and finishes clean.

Purchased at Kofu station on the way back from mountain climbing in February 2023. The sweet aroma that filled my mouth made me feel the arrival of spring a little early.
