It has been a long time since I have had sake at a Sapporo izakaya. It was the first time I had had this sake, which is apparently a rice called Nikkomaru, from a sake brewery in Hirado, and it has a refreshing, pear-like aroma that is very smooth on the palate. A great choice for a first drink!

My wife is not really interested in sake. She is a wine drinker and only drinks sparkling wine. Today we caught some fish, so we decided to drink together (to put her in a good mood) a bottle of Kid's Sparkling Sake. The bubbles are a bit stinky, but considering the price, I think it is very well made. The balance of flavor, sweetness, and acidity is perfect. As expected from Kidd! Delicious. Thanks for the treat.

I am traveling in Wakayama Prefecture. I was attracted by the super dry sake at a liquor store I passed by, so I bought it. I was fishing and caught the stone bream I was longing for, so I had a glass of it with sashimi! I can't get enough of local sake and fish when I'm on vacation. So happy!

I went to a buckwheat noodle shop, but to my surprise, the store was owned by a sake brewery and had a store next to it. I had to buy it. I asked my wife to drive me to the tasting corner, and we tasted four kinds of sake, and bought the one with the most beautiful taste. Then we drank it with dinner today. It was still delicious, and the freshly brewed, refreshing taste was the best!

It's not Tak, it's Hiraku. The last bottle I bought on my trip to Sado. With seafood miso nabe. I believe it was about 1400 yen, but it tastes more expensive. It has a very good balance of fruitiness, acidity and sweetness. There is almost no acidity. I would definitely buy it again if I ever go to Sado again!

Tempura and sake because I went wakasagi fishing. I bought this sake at the brewery when I went on a trip. I visited there because the sake was so good, but this one seems to have a longer history. It is clear and refreshing. As explained by the waiter, it is a little sweeter and richer than Itsuki. When I drank it with tempura, the bitterness from the wakasagi motsu was pleasant. Mmmm, delicious. I want to go to Sado Island now that Sado Air has started flights!

Kid's Hiyoroshi. There is trust. There is no way it can't be delicious. Today I think I prefer the kiwifruit-like blue aroma and lactic acidity aroma that cohabitate with it. I am not a big fan of aged sake; for under 1,500 yen for a bottle of No. 4, it is by far the best. I could drink this sake every day and not get tired of it.

Today, I went to the first thing in the morning or to the Toki no Mori (crested ibis forest) for squid in the afternoon, and went to a hot spring in the evening. I was busy, but caught no fish. I bought a sirloin of Sado beef and grilled it. Wind soft, that's a good name, isn't it? You don't see it much outside Niigata, but it is very well made. It has an impressive kiwifruit-like aroma. Tomorrow is the end of my trip. It is the last supper!

Three days before the trip to Sado. It was a blast fishing. I am happy! Horse mackerel, bluefin squid, kijihata, and inada. I learned about the best sake from a YouTuber I always watch. It's really good! This is really delicious! Even if you subtract the fact that I'm excited because I caught so many fish, it's still delicious 😋 The green apple flavor continues and can be a synonym for a refreshing sake. This is one of the three highest quality sake I have ever had in my life!

The second day of the trip to Sado Island. To my delight, I caught the squid I had longed for. As soon as I caught it, I dipped it in broth and soy sauce, and tonight I had my dream of eating it with a glass of Oki zuke (fish marinated in soy sauce). It took a few hours for the flavor to soak in, so I ended up eating it with wasabi soy sauce, but it was delicious! The sake from Obata Sake Brewery is also delicious! It has a muscat-like aroma and an alcoholic aftertaste. I realized that Sado has great fish and great sake. Happiness😌.

Well, I am in Sado from today. I bought a set of three bottles of locally brewed sake at a local supermarket for my first night's drinking. The first one is Hokusetsu, which was often seen at the port and airport. The alcohol is more stimulating than the alcohol content. The aroma is cherry-like. It makes me want salty snacks.

I bought this sake at a local liquor store with Hokkai striped shrimp and scallops ❤️ The label on the back says it was improved by adding oysters to the soil or some other Chablis-like description...that's promising. It is refreshing and very tasty. It is very easy to drink, with little bitterness and a fruity taste. It is a sake that I would definitely like to pair with seafood. There are many good sake breweries in the Setouchi area!

The best sake for the cherry salmon you caught. A dreamy, raw sake! The umami is very strong and overwhelming. It is elegant with a banana feel. The acidity is low, and it seems to be a traditional sake...it soaks into the body. I want to fish for cherry salmon since I haven't caught any myself........ Damn!

It has been a long time since I caught a fish and sake. I spend two hours each way to go fishing for this pleasure. Fried flounder and Tottori sake. I bought this at a tourist attraction I passed by on my trip. It seems to be a local rice called "Strong". I bought it at a sake brewery I passed by with no prior knowledge, but it was a bonanza. The alcohol content is strong and it comes on strong, but it melts down from the back of your throat to your stomach. It was a pleasant sake that fit in well with my body.

I bought hairy crabs in Okhotsk. Since I was there, I drank sake from Fukuyama, Hiroshima Prefecture, which I had bought when I was there on a trip. Sake is the best sake for hairy crabs. It has a slightly colored and smoky aroma. The first impression is that it looks thick, but it is smooth. It is said to be made from a type of rice called Hachitan-nishiki. There are so many kinds of rice!
