Kotobuki
Tsukinokatsura Junmai Sake Masuda Tokubei Shoten Co. Rice polishing ratio 60%. Alcohol content 15 720㎖ 1,150 yen + tax The emerald green No.4 bottle has no paper label at all, and the specifications are printed directly on it, making a big impact. The radar chart on the bottle says it's refreshing and mellow, but it's a solid sake that's quite rich and tender and won't lose out to nabe dishes.

Kamikai Retoro Ebi Junmai Ginfuki Fujimoto Shuzo Co. Rice Polishing Ratio 60 Alcohol content 16 720㎖ 1,490 yen (including tax) Faintly yama-buki in color, with a faintly sweet and sour aroma, the taste is a well-balanced match of sweetness and sourness, with a solid richness to it. The retro label, which I personally love, also gets me excited. Three stars for this gorgeous flavor at this price!

Mu-Kan-Tei Ginjo-Nama-Zume Kikusui Shuzo Co. Rice polishing ratio 55 Alcohol 15 degrees 720㎖ 1,314 yen (tax included) The hammered glass bottle and the label designed to match it are pretty cool. There's not much of an aroma. The color is also almost transparent. This sake has no peculiarities and is light and complements food. The more we drank, the more we felt comfortable with it.

Drunken Whale Special Junmai Sake drunken whale shuzo co. Rice polishing ratio 55 Alcohol 15 degrees 700㎖ 1,155 yen (tax included) I found this Drunken Whale (basic special junmai sake) that I've been interested in for a while, so I bought it. When I got home and checked "Sake-no-wa" I was surprised to see Drunken Whale listed at the top of the "Recommended for you" section with 3 stars⁉️What kind of algorithm is this? So I had it with high expectations. The aroma is slightly fruity, the taste is dry with a little sourness, and the more you drink, the more vigorous you become.

Kata no Sakura Junmai Ginjo Yamano Shuzo Co. Polishing ratio 50% polished rice, 55% Kake rice Alcohol content 15 degrees 720㎖ 1,428 yen + tax Nearly transparent in color, it is slightly dry and easy to drink with a light aroma and taste. As you continue to drink it, you gradually begin to feel the deep, rich flavor. This is a brewery that I was very much indebted to in my student days for my "kongo" (companionship), but I didn't know they had such stylish sake too.

Kotobuki
Dewazakura Junmai Sake Yamagata-grown "Dewa no Sato" 100%. Polishing ratio 60%. Alcohol content 15 degrees 1,430 yen (720㎖) + tax I was attracted by the catch that it was brewed with Yamagata's original sake rice "Dewa no Sato" and bought it. It's a light yama-buki color with a slightly sweet aroma, but on the palate it has a slightly acidic and refreshing taste, with a good balance of sharpness and richness. It is more homey than delicate and good for everyday drinking.

Kotobuki
Tomioh Celebration Junmai Ginjo 100% "Celebration" produced in Kyoto Rice polishing ratio 58 Alcohol content 15 degrees 720㎖ 1,500 yen + tax Purchased at Tomiou's "Okinaya" antenna shop. It's a transparent yamabuki color with a faint aroma of koji that builds up expectations. It is light at first, but soon you can feel the taste open up on your tongue. It is clear and free of miscellaneous flavors, but it is not overly assertive, so it can be enjoyed with either sake alone or with sashimi and other dishes that enjoy delicate flavors.

Manotsuru Sashu Masamune Raw Sake Alcohol content 16.5 degrees ㎖ 1,580 yen, plus tax I was attracted to this sake by the statement "We don't talk about the specs, we talk about the taste, so we only disclose the alcohol content. The aroma is fruity, but in a restrained way. The color is clear, and the green bottle and label give it a refreshing look. In the mouth, you first feel the stimulation that is typical of sake, and soon after you feel the sweetness. The taste is strong, so if you chill it well, it might be good for summer heat.

Kizakura Junmai Ginjo Rice polishing ratio 60%. Alcohol content 16 degrees 720㎖ 1,180 yen + tax Bought on impulse at the Kizakura Kappa Country shop when I saw the retro label! 😅 We had it at room temperature, with 5 shaku of snake eyes. It's a light yama-buki color, and at first it seemed like a normal sake with a slightly dry taste, but as the second and third glasses went by, the simmered dishes I was having with it started to taste better and better...⁉️The more you drink it, the more it blends in with the food and enhances the taste, which in turn makes the sake taste better. The more you drink, the more it blends with the food and enhances the taste.

Kotobuki
Tengu Mai Rice polishing ratio 60%. Alcohol content 16 degrees 720㎖ 1,380 yen + tax On the palate, the well matured aroma and moderate acidity spread out. It's a delicious sake with an austere yamabuki color that would make even a snake's-eye inoguchi look surprised, and naturally gets you excited. It is not a "fruity and fashionable sake", but a "sake with a strong statement".

Kotobuki
Shinsei no Namazake Tare mouth Yamamoto Honke Rice Polishing Ratio Unknown Alcohol content 19 degrees 700㎖ 1,400 yen + tax Purchased at the Torisei Honten shop. It has a robust and strong flavor that is as good as the reputed "yakitori". It's a limited season product, and when we had it in March it had a tangy and rough taste, but this time in late May it had a richer and more mature image, including the aroma.

Harushika Junmai Sake Imanishi Seibei Shoten Polishing ratio 70% (rice polishing) 700㎖ 1,375 yen (tax included) Speaking of Nara's sake, Harushika... 🦌. Just hearing the name gives you a gentle feeling. When you open the bottle you get a "slightly sweet" aroma, and when you take it into your mouth you feel a "moderate sweetness" that isn't overpowering at all. In fact, it is a delicious sake that is refreshing and easy to drink.

Echigo Tsurukame Junmai-shu, polished to 60% rice content 720㎖ 1,298 yen, tax included The aroma is subdued and fruity, but on the palate it's unsettlingly assertive. We were attracted by the "Best Gold Award for Delicious Sake in a Wine Glass" pop-up, but perhaps it was because we drank it in a snake's eye cup? I'm going to chill it in the fridge and try drinking it again in a sake cup for cold sake.

Kinshi Masamune Special Junmai 720㎖ 1,430 yen (including tax) It's not that anything in particular stands out, but that the overall balance is good, with a "solid core and a taste you can drink with peace of mind".

Asahiyama Junmai Ginjo Asahi Shuzo 720㎖ 1,118 yen (including tax) With a refreshing aroma and refined taste, there is no sense of miscellaneous flavors despite the rice polishing ratio of 55%. It's a very reasonably priced sake from a brewer famous for Kubota 😃.

This is a seasonal muddy sake. It has no peculiar taste and is easy to drink. It is easy to drink. When we bought it at the brewery, we were recommended to warm it up, and it is indeed delicious. Of course, it is also good at room temperature. It's easy to drink too much, but it's 15 degrees, so be careful.
