It's a transparent yamabuki color with a faint aroma of koji that builds up expectations. It is light at first, but soon you can feel the taste open up on your tongue. It is clear and free of miscellaneous flavors, but it is not overly assertive, so it can be enjoyed with either sake alone or with sashimi and other dishes that enjoy delicate flavors.
