At home. Kumamoto sake, Sung Kaoru, purchased on an expedition to Fukuoka. The Sansho I was looking for was sold out, and I managed to find this Kumamoto sake. It has a smooth, refreshing taste with a slight bitterness at the end. It was a dangerous one that was easy to drink. After a long time, I took a walk around Motomachi area in Kobe by bicycle, bought some gyoza (Chinese dumplings), and went home. Since it was Saturday afternoon, Sannomiya and Motomachi were quite crowded, and the city seemed to have regained its vitality.

Work in Yamaguchi was over and I was on my way home. It takes about 4 hours by Shinkansen to Shin-Yokohama, which is quite long! Today, let's go back home after drinking as much as we do at Izakaya Shinkansen. Today was so busy that I didn't eat lunch 🥴. However, almost the last bullet train, and around Shin-Yamaguchi station, there are not so many places to prepare 🤔. At a souvenir shop in the station, I got a hamo no tsukurin (pike conger eel) and gairo for dessert (I heard it's a bit different from gairo in Nagoya)! (I heard it's a little different from gairo in Nagoya.) They didn't have any bento-like bento, so I went to the combined 7-Eleven and Souvenir Kaido store inside the ticket gate. Seriously 😱. This Sake has a full mouth feel and some sweetness at the beginning. The flavor of this Sake is bigger than other Seitoku Sake but it still has good balance. Very good with big flavor foods like mapo tofu.

This Sake has an initial sweetness and a full mouth feel. There is a hint of cedar as the alcohol clears my pallet. Very good with big flavor foods like yakiniku. Seitoku has many Sake that I enjoy.

This Sake is light, refreshing and easy to drink. I am revisiting this Sake because it has been a while since I last drank it. I enjoy the mild flavors of apple and melon with a clean, short aftertaste. This is a refreshing and well balanced Sake.
