It is that time of year again! This year's Mr. Summer Time was a grand presentation event, inviting circus members to the Kanmei Sake Brewery for a mini-concert of sorts. I couldn't go, though. The aroma of this year's product is a little subdued. I like that mewashi aroma, though. The mouthfeel is strong and dark, and the harmony of umami and sweetness is wonderful! It is a departure from the low-alcohol, light summer sake style, and is more like a munchy, dirty summer night. Despite the strong flavor, the sharpness of the sake is very refreshing, so it is easy to drink. Of all the summer liquors, this one is my favorite. Thank you very much for your kindness!

Summer sake from my favorite brewery, Kanbai! I'll have to drink it! The Kamidachi aroma is a fruity ginjo aroma, but it's moist and calm, very nice! The aroma of Kanbai's sake is so nice! Sour? Rice? Thin smell. Mouthfeel is syrupy, sweet and sour, with a slight bitterness, but the bitterness fades away with the sweetness. Sourness like strawberries? It is like a noble sake. When mixed with Ori, the sweetness is softened and it is like red grapefruit juice. The sweet and sour impact at first is great, but it becomes refreshing at the end. Amazing!

Arrival at today's inn. We will have a yakimugi bento (barley lunch box) bought at Tosu station on the way to the hotel! When the bottle is opened, it has a pudding-like aroma. Today, I'm going to have a pure blue. I mean, I went to Tomikunishiki yesterday to buy the Galaxy label. Unfortunately, it was sold out for mail order😭. Basically, I'm the kind of person who thinks that shipping costs are less than the cost of gasoline, so I thought I'd go and drive an hour or so to get there, but I didn't realize how popular the Galaxy Label was. I had no choice but to buy this Ikarashi Tokubetsu Junmai. It's sweet but delicious ☺️. I think I'll mail order it properly next year. I should have bought either Kamesen's SEL or Gohashi, which I saw at the liquor store on my way home.

I went to Kuwana this holiday weekend and found a sake shop that sold a lot of local sake from Mie and bought this sake. It is a summer-only fresh-stored sake. It has a slightly sweet taste at first, followed by a sour taste and a cool feeling. It was delicious. 2134 yen.
