Low-alcoholic drink made with peach yeast. I bought it because I enjoyed it at an event at Ogimachi Park.
According to the official website, it is unfiltered and the rice is
According to the official website, the sake is unfiltered, and the rice used is Matsuyama Mitsui, Shizuku Ehime, and Ai no Yume, but some Yamadanishiki from Hyogo Prefecture is used. According to the official website
Rosé-like color. Sweet like plum wine. Rich and delicious!
I also feel lactic acid like yogurt.
OSAKA SAKE&FOOD EXPO 2024⑳
Lastly, we went to the Komatsuya booth again.
Nechi from Nechiozan, which is not seen very often.
There were many different rice varieties, but we chose the Koshitanrei 1st class rice 2020.
Nechi is only available at authorized dealers.
It was easy to drink with a beautiful taste and a hint of sweetness.
The review of this event was a bit of a mess, so please refer to Nechi's post later on 🤣.
OSAKA SAKE & FOOD EXPO 2024 (1929)
A collaboration between Setsunan University, Neyagawa's Beldari Shopping Street, and Yoneyoshi Shoten, a liquor store in Neyagawa.
Brewed by Yamano Shuzo of Katano Sakura.
The booth was visited by students from Setsunan University
The rice is Gohyakumangoku produced in Fukui
It is sweet, but the strength is high, and it is quite gutsy and interesting.
It might be good on the rocks or with soda.
Hello bouken!
This is a perfect bottle to revitalize the local community and to show the attractiveness of sake to students and other young people 😁.
I'm proud as a citizen of Fukui to have Fukui rice chosen as the rice for such a sake ✨.
Good evening Mr. Jive 😃.
I thought it was local sake rice since it's a local revitalization, but it was Fukui Gohyakumangoku, which was surprising ✨.
We sometimes have collaborations with universities, but shopping malls are rare 😳.
OSAKA SAKE & FOOD EXPO 2024⑱.
The last of the Yomiuri Shimbun booth is here.
There are stores where you can buy Nihonshin, and I've had it, but I've never seen such an expensive sake...
Yamada-Nishiki 40% polished rice
More modern label than the Nihonshin I drank at home 😁.
It's gorgeous, but I felt it's more sake-like...
The label is also modern and written in English, so I wonder if it's for export?
OSAKA SAKE & FOOD EXPO 2024⑰.
Visit the Yomiuri Shimbun booth again
This Ishizuchi also uses Sakurahime yeast.
The rice is Shizuku Ehime with a milling ratio of 44
Flower yeast sake. Fruity and delicious.
I've had a lot of good impressions of Ishizuchi so far.
OSAKA SAKE & FOOD EXPO 2024⑯.
Muraki Grocery Store.
In 2022, they are reviving a sake called Hatasho, which was sold at his grandfather's grocery store to revitalize the local community, for the first time in 14 years.
This is not a sake brewery, but Aichi Sake Brewery in Aisho-cho, the same town where the store is located, has been commissioned to produce it.
The rice is locally grown Ginfukiyuki rice.
The rice is locally grown Ginbuki Yuki.
It has a lot of acidity. It seems to be a food sake type.
There seems to be a slight sense of maturity.
I guess there's a consignment fee and all, but 5,000 yen seems a bit steep.
OSAKA SAKE & FOOD EXPO 2024⑮
Back to the first Sakenote booth 💨
When I googled it, I found only unfiltered raw sake, but this one seems to be bottle-heated and fire-aged.
Elegant and gorgeous ginjo aroma.
Juicy sweet flavor. Many daiginjos from Ehime have a classic taste, but this one has a modern taste that I like.
I can't afford to buy it because it costs 4,000 yen for a 4-pack, but it's absolutely delicious 😋.
Good evening, Yasube-san 😃
I haven't had a lot of wakamusume, but so far I haven't been disappointed 😊.
Haretoke-san has some of this on sale, both fire-brewed and fresh, so please buy some 🤣.
OSAKA SAKE & FOOD EXPO 2024⑭
Marumoto Sake Brewery's booth.
The same people from Takashimaya and the Japanese Sake Festival were there, and when Nemuchi-san greeted them, the brewery staff seemed to remember him😊.
Sake made with organic Yamadanishiki.
It's delicious, but I can feel it's been aged for quite a while...
Did I mention it's aged for a year?
I looked up this sake and found very little information about it 🤔...
I left the booth with only this sake since I had already had many other sake at other events... 🤔...
〜Postscript
It was 2 years old! Sorry 💦.
OSAKA SAKE & FOOD EXPO 2024⑬
I know the name of Sake Sen Eiko, but I've never seen it.
It's kinda like a laughing four seasons kinda face 🤔.
Yamadanishiki rice polished to 35%.
I think it was like fruity dry with a gorgeous ginjo aroma 😅(forgot to take notes💦)
OSAKA SAKE & FOOD EXPO 2024⑫
Jogawago, a name you've heard of but never seen before
A 500ml bottle for the sake competition 😳
I googled it and it looks like it costs about 3000 yen.
It was fruity, dry, beautiful and expensive sake!
I wonder if it's hard to make it unique when the rice is polished 🤔.
The basic taste is so similar that it's hard to understand 💦.
I drank Ehime sakes with similar specs in rapid succession, so my impressions of other sakes may be mixed up 🙄.
OSAKA SAKE & FOOD EXPO 202411
Visit the Yomiuri Shimbun booth again!
Mizuguchi Sake Brewery in Ehime. It was the first time to visit here, too.
This sake brewery is located near Dogo Onsen in Matsuyama City.
Yamadanishiki rice polished to 35%.
It was written as dry, but it was quite sweet with a gorgeous ginjo aroma.
(Right? I forgot to take notes💦)
Many of the sakes at this booth would have tasted better if they were a little more chilled!
bouken, good evening 🌛I don't think I can post this festival yet, but my note on this sake is that it is mellow and has a mild and subtle umami flavor. The note of this sake was mellow and mildly delicious, with a clean aftertaste and a cohesive finish 😁.
Good evening, Nemuchi.
I thought I wrote it down, but I almost completely forgot about Ehime sake 🤣I thought it would be embarrassing if I wrote a review that was too far off 💦.
OSAKA SAKE & FOOD EXPO 2024⑩
Following Nichinichi, Toyo Bijin's Aizan
The sample label on the table looked like fire-aged sake, but the actual sake was unpasteurized.
It was sweet and juicy with a little gasiness. Toyo Bijin is never a miss 😁.
I tried Aiya Matsuri 2024 the other day and Toyo Bijin might be the best 🤔.
OSAKA SAKE & FOOD EXPO 20249
Leaving the Yomiuri Shimbun booth for a moment, we went to the booth of Komatsuya, a sake wholesaler who operates restaurants and wine stores in Osaka.
I was given a flyer saying that they will open a sake shop in May!
I am sure that this company handles Asahi Ei, so I am looking forward to it 😊.
First Nichinichi in an unexpected place!
I had been putting off drinking Nichinichi because I thought I would be able to drink it someday and the price was too high!
I chose this place because it's expensive sake and they only offer one ticket 😁.
There were Yamadanishiki and Akitsu Yamadanishiki, so I chose Akitsu which is more expensive.
Slightly effervescent with a muscat and grape-like atmosphere.
Fire-brewed but very fresh!
Not too hot, but not too sweet, and perfectly balanced.
I would like to drink it open and a little more chilled.
I wonder if it's more gassy right after opening?
I think it's like the trend of low alcohol with gas.
OSAKA SAKE & FOOD EXPO 2024⑧
This is another unknown sake brewery, Yukijaku Sake Brewery.
It is made from Yamada-Nishiki with a 38% rice polishing ratio and unfiltered.
According to the official website, there are two types of sake: hi-ire and nama, but the one I drank was probably hi-ire.
I think it was fruity and quite sweet 🤔.
Forgot to take notes💦.
OSAKA SAKE & FOOD EXPO 2024⑦
First visit to Hasamaya Sake Brewery
The brewery is the family home of singer/songwriter Kaori Kano, who herself is the head brewer.
It is a revived brewery that resumed its own brewing after many years of consignment brewing.
The sake is quite matured and a little bit bitter.
It seems that a different sake with the same label was also aged for a long time.
They were sold out by the time I arrived, but Nemuchi-san said the raw sake was delicious.
OSAKA SAKE & FOOD EXPO 2024⑥
Moved to the Yomiuri Shimbun booth. They had a collection of sake from breweries all over Japan. There were many sakes that I had never heard of 😳.
Chiyonokame is a sake brewery that is a member of the Meimon Sake Association, but is rarely seen. (The name has now been changed to Chiyonokame Sake Brewery.
Here is another sake using Sakurahime yeast!
Polishing ratio 45%.
Ehizake is a word for Ehime sake and is a registered trademark of this brewery.
I think it was sweeter and more to my liking than the rabbit ballerina I just had. I forgot to take notes💦.
You can't buy it at this booth, but I checked and it's priced at 3300 yen for a 4-pack.
Good morning bouken 🐥.
I've never seen this brand before 😳Every time I read a review of an event or a brewery tour, I'm amazed at how many sake breweries I don't know about 😊.
I'm worried about the earthquake in Ehime and Kochi 😰.
Hi bouken😃
You do that kind of thing with the Yomiuri newspaper, that's interesting ‼️ I used to take the Yomiuri newspaper until recently but I stopped 🫸.
Hi Ponchan 😃
I was so busy seeing all the breweries that I had never seen before 😁.
Ehime has many small breweries so I was worried but I guess it was ok because no information came up 🤔.
Hello Manachie 😃
There was a long line for Awamori and craft beer 💦 besides the Yomiuri Shimbun at the event hosted by Kansai TV 😊.
Um, were you a Giants fan?
OSAKA SAKE & FOOD EXPO 2024⑤.
Booths (2) to (5) in the post are the booths of SAKENOTE LLC.
Is it a sake consulting business? Is it a kind of company? Sake was available for purchase at this booth.
Totally new to me, Utsunomiya Sake Brewery.
For a moment I thought "Tochigi Ai🥰? I thought it was Tochigi Ai🥰, but it was a sake from Ehime Prefecture. It has the same name as Shiki Sakura's Utsunomiya Shuzo 😅.
This one seems to be named after the brewer, Utsunomiya.
I drank
Hanakami
Sake made with peach-colored yeast. I didn't realize it was peach yeast when I drank it😅It was sweet and delicious!
Rabbit Ballerina Special Junmai
It seems to be made with a flower yeast called Sakurahime.
It is said to be sweet, but I didn't feel much sweetness.
I bought Hanakami, which was really delicious 😋.
Good morning, bouken 😃.
Utsunomiya sake brewery in Ehime 😳something like a relative 🥰 😆 I don't think I've ever seen it even in Sake no Wa 🤔.
It's quintessential to go here👍.
Jay & Nobby, good evening 😃.
That happens sometimes 😁I didn't think Nara-Man was Fukushima at first 😅I didn't want to waste my ticket so I basically went through the sake I could buy 🙄.
OSAKA SAKE & FOOD EXPO 2024④.
Shodoshima Sake Brewery. I have never had this sake before, but I have the impression that it has many unusual names such as Bibibibi and Fufufu.
Junmai Daiginjo with olive yeast
It's pretty ordinary for the 4000 yen it costs...
It has a strong sake taste.
I remember Nemuchi and I were both mmm🤔.
If it's olive yeast, I might prefer Ayagiku or Kawatsuru.
OSAKA SAKE & FOOD EXPO 2024③.
Since it was a ticketed event, I couldn't waste my money and drank while sharing the brands I had never drunk before....
But there were so many brands I've never had before😅.
I've seen it before, but I've never bought it. I took this opportunity to drink it.
It has a slightly traditional Yamahagase atmosphere, with an impressive acidity. It has a thick and mild mouthfeel.
I would like to try this directly pumped nama sake because it seems to have a good reputation.
OSAKA SAKE & FOOD EXPO 2024 (2)
Gindagawa, which I have had a cup of special honjozo or something before. Was Gintagawa sold in Niigata?
I thought it was a classic type, but unlike the image on the label, the acidity was noticeable and it was a bit modern?
It looks like it would go well with Western food 🍴.
