Basic junmai sake at the inn's all-you-can-drink bar. Goes well with peculiar seafood.

This is also served with Matsusaka beef at a restaurant near Matsusaka station. It goes well with the meat.

Purchased at a liquor store in Miharu-cho, where I stopped by when I went to ride the Ban-Etsu East Line last November. It is the flagship brand of this brewery, brewed with local sake rice Gohyakumangoku. The sweetness spreads on the palate as soon as you drink it. I felt it was a little too sweet right after opening it, so I left it in the refrigerator for a month and drank it again after a long time, and it settled down just right.

Purchased directly from the brewery. Little to no sweetness, a little high at 17 degrees and a tight taste.

Purchased at Ueda Sake Shop in Gujo Hachiman Sake made with hard water, very crisp and easy to drink. Not registered in Sake-no-wa, but a hidden masterpiece.

As the label says, it is a mellow, drinkable, yet easy-drinking and dangerous sake. (Brewer's alcohol is added and the alcohol content is 20 degrees.) It went well with oyakodon (chicken and egg bowl) at room temperature.

Purchased at the event corner at Tachikawa station. I have heard of the name, but this is the first time I have bought it because it is not sold at a liquor store near my house or by mail order. The rice is Hachitan-Nishiki from Hiroshima Prefecture. The taste is very sweet, which is typical of new sake. My personal impression is that it is a little too sweet.

I took today off work and traveled to Boso Peninsula. (I've been getting emails and chatting myself to death.) This is a local package purchased at a sake brewery. It is a junmai ginjo with a strength of 14 degrees, which is easy to drink, but has the richness of junmai and a good balance of sake.

This is what I think of when I think of spring! It has just the right amount of gas, a strong sweetness with a clean aftertaste, and a low alcohol content of 10 degrees, making it easy to drink!

Purchased during a visit to the brewery on 2024/11. It has a creamy taste typical of nigori sake, followed by a refreshing sweetness and a pleasant alcohol taste, but with a clean aftertaste. Personally, I like this sake. It is nice to be able to encounter brands that are hard to find in Tokyo when you visit your hometown!

Hirotogawa is a rather reserved sake, but the sweetness and aroma are stronger than usual due to the fact that it is a draft, but even so, the sweet aroma and aftertaste are pleasant, and the sake is easy to drink without getting tired of drinking it!

I heard that it was an old brand of Jikin and bought it. It is a very tasty sake with a good balance of taste and aroma, and I end up drinking it one after another.

It has a strong sweetness with a clean aftertaste! But beware of the high 18 degrees!
