This sake is limited to Gonoi Sake Shop in Aizu. It has a nice gassy feel to it. Delicious. And the hamo no seared and cucumber sanbaizu is also great.
This restaurant has a sake tavern zone and a standing bar zone at night, which is very nice and easy to use. They have 60 kinds of sake. (Cafe during the day)
I came here to drink Kitajima because I drank it on Monday and it was too good! We compared cold sake and heated sake. The cold sake was delicious, but the heated sake was amazing. According to the proprietress, it is very popular!
I drank it cold and it is a good one any way you look at it. He said it is the best recommendation of the day. I guess he must be right.
Hard acidity. I have a feeling this will probably open up with temperature.
I asked NAGI if they had any sake from outside of Fukushima. I was told that the sake was made by a person who trained at Tenmei's Akebono Sake Brewery, and that is why they have it here. The sake is dark, which is probably typical of Shiga Prefecture.
Calm and goes well with food. It is also good to drink on its own with snacks such as nuts. I thought it was an interesting design for a sake from a new brewery and not a glamorous type. I would love to have a bottle at home.
