Purchased at Kotsusa Sake Shop in Kobayashi City, Miyazaki. This is the second Shiga sake I have had in my lifetime. It is a dry, umami sake, but it is also sharp and gentle.
Purchased at a roadside station in Shimane. When poured into a glass, it has a dark yellowish color. ^^^ It feels like fresh sake in the mouth, but then the dryness lingers for a long time. If you are looking for a dry sake, this is it!
Drink it cold. The sweetness of the rice spreads at first, followed by sourness and acidity. I think I have grasped the taste of "Gohyakumangoku" a little. It is hard to describe in words. In a word, it is surprisingly tasty.
Shimane, the birthplace of Japanese sake. 3rd trip to Shimane. Purchased at Roadside Station Goise Nima. Summer sake. When I bought it, it was quite acidic and stood up too well, but after 3 days of drinking it, I got the impression that it had mellowed a bit and gained some umami flavor, making it a nice summer sake. +I would recommend it to those who prefer a little more dryness and are OK with acidity.
I got this from Haneda Airport ^^^ I haven't had Sawanoi since Summer Junmai. I like this one better! The description on the back says it's dry, but not dry. I don't really like it, but the added value of it being a Tokyo sake is appealing.
Tochigi sake is almost impossible to find in Oita, so I have them buy it for me when I travel there.
A junmai sake that goes down easy. It also has umami. The lingering spiciness is on the subdued side. It's the kind of sake you shouldn't drink too much of.
This is a bottle from a brewery famous for its appearance. First of all, it is very cost-effective. 17% alcohol by volume and high in alcohol content. Slightly thick and dry.
I bought at a restaurant I had wanted to go in for a while. I enjoyed listening to the explanation of the sake while there were many people standing around drinking, and it made me want to come back to this store. The clerk told me that it tasted like pineapple, and it did indeed taste like pineapple.
When I drank it three days after opening the package, the pineapple flavor faded slightly and the spiciness of the aftertaste remained. It is a sake for summer.
I bought it at a supermarket at a two-discount price^^ I like dry sake, and it is junmai sake^ It is dry with acidity and sharpness, which is enough for everyday dry drinking!
Junmai-shu is a pure rice sake that is easy to drink like water. When it is cooled down from hiya to room temperature, you can feel the sweetness of the rice, a slight fullness, and spiciness. A gentle sake.
I found it with a 20% off sticker at Mister Max West Oita and bought it on purpose. The production date is November 2021, and the label says it can be drunk for 9 months before opening. The alcohol content is quite high at 18.5 degrees. According to the website, the sake level is +2, but due to the high alcohol content, it leaves a particularly dry aftertaste. I think it is not really a numerical value. I like dry sake, and this sake was OK for me. I drank the same amount of 14 degree sake and I still felt fluffy lol.
Purchased at Kotani. It is slightly effervescent like the previous Senzuke, but this one is drier and milder, which I prefer. The melon flavor is not that strong, and the aroma and taste are just like you'd expect them to be. I want to savor it slowly.
Purchased at Kotani. We have rabbits at home, so I liked the label when it was recommended to me. I thought the price was a little high for a special junmai sake, but it tasted like a junmai ginjo target, with a slight effervescence, rice sweetness, white wine-like acidity, and a spiciness in the aftertaste.
I was most looking forward to seeing you at the Tochigi series. Look at you! First of all, I love the name! This simple and also cut shape is so cool lol!
To be honest, I prefer Ona Super Dry, but this one is drier and lighter, but has a delicious rice flavor.
Tochigi's third sake! Sake meter value is +10, but after the full flavor of rice, the taste is gentle and refreshing, with a moderate sweetness and not too much spiciness.
Tochigi Series! 100% Gohyakumangoku from Tochigi. It goes in easily. If I were to describe it in terms of fruit, I would say it was lightly banana-like. The acidity is a little strong, the fruity taste is moderate, and the sharpness, acidity, and spiciness of sake are well balanced.
The first sake bought as a souvenir from Tochigi ^^^.
Perfect name for this time of year. Drink it cold. It is a refreshing drink, but it has an aftertaste. It is not a modern taste, but I like it this way.
This is the second time I bought Toichi as I saw it in my hometown. The sake has a Sake meter reading of +1, but I feel it is a little higher. It has a robust taste, not too sweet or fruity, and I can enjoy the flavor of the rice.
