We opened a bottle of Jikin, which we had prepared for New Year's, at a gathering of relatives! It is as delicious as ever. It can be drunk with Osechi dishes or on its own. It is the best sake for a special occasion.

Of the New Year's Eve and New Year's Day sake stock, I decided to make Wakanami Junmai sake for New Year's Eve and New Year's Day. It has a banana-like flavor typical of Wakanami. It is fresh, lush, and gently sweet, as is typical for a pure sake, and it pulls off easily after a while. It went well with sukiyaki, raw oysters, sudachi soba noodles, and many other things 🍲.

Too active, injured finger when opening the bottle🍾. As the label suggests, it smells of blue fresh fruit like muscat. The acidity, fullness of the oli, and moderate bitterness are a delicious match 😋.
