I had been curious about this sake for a long time!
Is it the same as Wakanami by the same sake brewer that goes from sweetness to acidity and finishes with a sharp taste? The difference is that I strongly felt the umami of the rice. It was delicious!
I procured this sake in Fukuoka last month.
I had had Wakanami sake from Wakanami Shuzo at a kaku-uchi (corner bar) in Fukuoka before, but this was my first time to try their Dragonfly series.
Polishing ratio 60
Alcohol content 16%.
The aroma is mild and the taste is full of rice flavor. There is a hint of sweetness, which is then tightened by a firm acidity, but it is also spicy.
It's delicious. Delicious 😊.
I had it with oden, and both the sake and oden went down a treat 🍢.
Of course, sake alone is good too👍
Good evening, soumacho!
I drank this summer sake and it was delicious, so I was curious about this one too😊Wakanami Brewery's sake has never failed me so far, so I would like to try many different kinds of sake!
Good morning, Pon 😃.
You were drinking in summer 🎐.
I was right to pick it up because the Dragonfly series is not available locally and the Honjozo of Wakanami series was also good 😄.
Hi soumacho 😃
I'm waiting for Senkou's red dragonfly, but I'm curious to see your review of this red dragonfly too 😋.
I like the deep pot with tap oden 🍢 again 🤗.
Good evening, Jay & Nobby 😃.
Your capture of the red dragonfly in the Senkaku is quintessential 😁.
Looking forward to your review ✨
The dragonfly over here was delicious👍.
We will do the same for Wakanami Brewery 😊.

Having just had Wakanami, I wanted to try it again. This time it was Akatombo from Wakanami Shuzo, which is said to be quite popular. After drinking a variety of sake, I learned that hiyaoroshi is very good!
The aroma is mild and gentle, with a hint of rice straw. The round, soft water is more rounded than Wakanami, and the sweetness of the water, like that of ramune, is a little less pronounced and milder, which is my personal favorite. It also has a slightly salty flavor, but I may be mistaken. The slight sweetness and strong flavor of Japanese pear soaks into the body. I love hiyaoroshi because of the sensation of this calm flavor seeping into the body. Then the astringency came later and flowed down the back of my throat along with the sharpness. I think I prefer it to Wakanami because of the sweetness of the ramune and the saltiness of the sharpness. I still don't want to believe that summer is over, but why don't you try Akatombo and let autumn come to you? Thank you again for your hospitality this evening!
Today we have a special junmai sake "Dragonfly" from Fukuoka's Wakanami Shuzo: ❗️
The aroma is slightly fresh and sweet❗️As you take a sip, you feel a tingling sensation on your tongue and a sharp astringency❗️And a refreshing mouthfeel reminiscent of nama-shu❗️Great sake❗️I would love to drink a nama-shu or unfiltered nama-shu from the same brand❤️
Another stop on the trip
Wakanami, a brewery that is one of my favorite breweries.
I was so impressed when I saw the dragonfly because there is no special distributor in Hiroshima 🥺.
This year we caught beetles, stag beetles... and even dragonflies: 🕸️
The aroma is not that strong, but there is an initial umami taste plus acidity😍.
The alcohol is not too strong for a special pure sake, and the sharpness is as expected of Wakanami...fire-aged special pure sake?
I'm very impressed with the price and the year-round series with this flavor 😭
I regret that I should have had 4 gou 😫.
Bottom of the bottle.
Green apples and white flowers.
Juicy with!
Light syrup, fruity-sweet. Fresh acidity.
Slightly chemical and cotton candy flavor.
Milky rice flavor from the first sip.
Moderately light and summery texture from start to finish.
4/5 stars for my taste.
