I attended a meeting of Eshikoto (12 kinds in all) in Fukuoka. I didn't know about Eshikoto. It is a sake limited to Fukui Prefecture.
I started with a toast to the bubbly sake. It tasted like white wine with an elegant flavor.
Next was a special pure Gohyakumangoku sake. It is also white wine-like. Soft and mellow.
...I don't have the ability to review 12 different types of sake, so I'll stop here.
The most delicious was the Ihyakumangoku Nama Sake. It was refreshing, had a sense of rice, and was very good.
