I bought this at the brewery's direct sales counter on my GW trip to Nagano! I had a great shopping experience with the courteous staff and went home feeling great! The aroma is what you would call "sake" with a hint of alcohol. It also has a grassy nuance. Immediately after taking a sip, there is a pleasant sourness that lasts until the end. Of course there is sweetness, but if anything, it is more umami. The bitterness is gentle at the end. It has a juicy atmosphere with acidity as if it is made from a sake yeast yeast. Kurosawa is a brewery that specializes in making sake from the "nama-hashiroshi," so I was convinced after drinking it that it was made from the "nama-hashiroshi. I was told at the brewery that the sake has an excellent balance of the four tastes of sweetness, flavor, acidity, and bitterness, and this is exactly what it tastes like. It has a good acidity, but it is not showy at all. It is a sake that goes well with any meal, and I am sure I will become a fan of Kurosawa Shuzo after drinking it. This is their regular product, so they are a brewery of extraordinary quality. It goes well with shime saba (mackerel), salty yakitori, grilled fresh onions, and omelettes! It goes with everything!

On this day, I drove to my wife's parents' home in Saku. When we arrived after a two-and-a-half-hour drive from Tokyo, this local sake was waiting for us. It has an ear of rice on it. Purchased at a new roadside station in Yachiho Kogen. The brewery is located in the uppermost reaches of the Chikumagawa River. It is aged at a low temperature in an ice cellar and has a high alcohol content. When chilled, it has a mild flavor and spicy acidity, and when lukewarm, it has a spiciness and a sake-like aroma. It is a good sake that can be enjoyed all year round.

This Sake is light, refreshing and easy to drink. I am revisiting this Sake because it has been a while since I last drank it. I enjoy the mild flavors of apple and melon with a clean, short aftertaste. This is a refreshing and well balanced Sake.

It's just the two of us on the second day of our trip. We started the day with a beer toast! After the second beer, my wife had beer and I had sake, cold yesterday and hot this time! I think it was the highest temperature! Not much aroma. Not much aroma, but the mouthfeel is clean and easy to drink without getting stuck in your throat! It was a perfect match for a kaiseki meal. On the first day of GW, the 29th, I purchased sake that goes well with meat 🥩. It's a collaboration product of Kumamoto's sake brewery "Zuitaka" and "Gullitcheu Fukushima" wrote the label. It's a dark, strong tasting sake that goes well with meat 👍️. I forgot to take a picture but the char-grilled chicken sold as a set is really hard 🤣. I have only a calendar day off, but I work on Saturday even though it's the first day of GW. I opened 3 bottles in a flash 👍️.

Purchased at Kintetsu Department Store event, Sake Tour. I compared it with Junmai Ginjo and was impressed with this one, so I bought it. Fresh and citrusy? It is sweet at the beginning, but the sweetness and umami come in the second half of the bottle. I have to admit that I've only seen Hyo Hyohi at department store events. Apparently, the brewery that makes the sake is in Awa City, which is different from the address on the label.

Private brand of Fujimura Sake Brewery in Hofu City, Yamaguchi Prefecture The sake is named after a local poet and the owner of the brewery. We bought a 300ml bottle to try, as it is a traditional brand that has been commissioned to be brewed continuously for 26 years. The ginjo aroma is mild, and you don't even notice it on the palate. But I did not expect to find such a beautiful sake in Yamaguchi. Toyo Bijin, Tenbi, and other gorgeous brands are popular, This sake is a perfect representative of Yamaguchi as a food sake.

Purchased at the Shinsaibashi Takashimaya Department Store on the recommendation of a store clerk. Rice used is unknown. The richness of the original sake can be felt. It does not have much of a nama-zake character, and is clear and clean through the throat, making it a sake that you will never get tired of drinking. Because of its name, I had always assumed it was a sake from Kyoto. I️ was surprised to learn that it was the first Japanese sake to win the Monde Selection gold medal, and that Wakayama is proud of this world-class sake. My sincere apologies 🙏.
